I just read that Mercedes are not going to discipline Hamilton for Abu Dhabi. They have seemed to realise that they were wrong to make the calls they did. Good for them.

Agreed. Even those that originally thought it was poor behaviour on Lewis', part, have eventually come around (after giving themselves a slap across the face)

They were never going to do anything anyway.

They were really not going to do anything after Nico retired.

I said all along, nothing will happen - as he was not in the wrong.

TBH no 100% happy.

Would have fined Hamilton something utterly meaningless to him like $100,000 for disobeying team orders.

The order should never have been entertained, but it was a team order and next time it might be when there is more at stake than another one two and which of our drivers wins the WDC.

Did like Toto saying words to the effect of "Not happy about it but then i want a guard dog in the car, not a lap dog, so have to accept that sometimes i might get bitten."

Too right they should apologise. Though with Nico going the balance of power suddenly shifted. They made all that effort to get a German WDC, and then he buggers off! Hilarious.

That's the coolest f*cking thing I have ever heard. I didn't know Toto was so gangster.

He's gone up a notch in my book.

They should never have been contemplating doing anything because they were totally in the wrong to issue the instructions to Hamilton in the first place! However, if they were actually thinking about taking action against Lewis I agree Nico's announcement weakened their position significantly; with one driver already gone it really wouldn't have been a good move to risk losing the other by hitting him with a completely unwarranted disciplinary charge!

Why's this news? Lauda said last Monday they'd drawn a line under it because their priority is to find a replacement for Rosberg, which is clearly why they did it.

Two weeks to come to a conclusion that most of us knew was right at the time.......

Toto was very clumsy and heavy handed in making this an issue in the first place. I'm hoping that when Merc get knocked off the #1 spot , they also learn to become a little more human.

I wander if Toto had rang Lewis' Dad before the race.....

Didn't think there was any chance of them "sanctioning" Lewis in any way..
