Revisions to the rules and a possible f**k up when areas were being moved around in the rear wing and engine cover 'zones' have left a gap. Mercedes and Ferrari have filled it with a little flow conditioner wing to direct the air, similar to the horns on the 2008 McLaren.

You know what? For one year only I would like to see the technical rulebook thrown away and other than engine size/turbos/ERS etc and standard safety items/monocoque, just let the designers do whatever they want.

So Ferrari have gone with a combination of a shark fin and an additional spoiler. Be interesting to see what McLaren come up with.

Of course, we all know we're not seeing 100% what each car will look like though...

Hmmm

I think what's happened here is that rather than try to make a car that runs at the front, they've redesigned their livery to look more in keeping running at the back.

I like the nose fins, bit different.

Colours are a bit Manor esq but its not awful, and isnt silver or all black, so im not complaining.

After all that teasing they present us a pretty pedestrian looking livery. Shame.

Can someone post a picture of the McLaren?

Stuck at work with no access to Youtube or the like.

New McLaren. I get they believe they cannot "do" silver any more and maybe the last Black Red scheme was a little subtle. This however is a Mess. Hated the original scheme and this does not work on a modern car.

TBH the studio pic IS a lot more like the original orange, but its probably a pearlescent paint so looks different under diff lights.

It Can change all it likes I still think it's the worst scheme I have ever seen.
