Grosjean is out-driving Magnussen. Hulkenberg and Massa are out-classing Palmer and Stroll. Stroll really doesn't look ready.

Sitting around the pool this morning in Manama and it is hot already. Will be heading up to the circuit later this afternoon and hoping to see some excitement in the qualifying.

Any other PH'ers here for the weekend?

Any chance you can add some videos that you film your self can never find a video on you tube that a fan has filmed. The tv cameras just kill the speed and sound.

That sounds because Bernie wouldn't allow it. Don't know if things are different now.

Did some long run analysis on the Super Soft tyres (given it's the tyre that'll determine the strategy for the top 10):

Okay the trend lines are a bit funky (quadratic rather than linear), but you get the idea.

It seems Bottas still hasn't got on top of the tyres as his lap times are not as consistent as Hamilton. Surely some head scratching going on at Merc at the moment.

Glad to see Raikkonen is on the pace however, it's still too difficult to work out if Ferrari of Raikkonen is faster than Hamilton, but I suspect so. Vettel did not do any long runs on the super soft, Ferrari electing to split the tyre data collection between their drivers...I imagine Ferrari are sitting pretty here.

Hulk put in a very good stint if it is indeed, a 1st stint sim. If Renault end up in Q3, Hulk would be a good dark horse bet. wink

These practice 1 & 2 times are kind of unusual aren't they? I can't remember the last time the first 7 or 8 cars were all so close together in lap time.... and the lap times are not exactly stunning compared to last year. P3 times seeing a Williams and Renault within a tenth of fastest so far... see what happens when they put on the super softs I guess.

Looking at Stroll it seems he has talent but perhaps this is a year too early for him? He certainly looks like he is going through a tough learning curve right in the public eye.

5 seconds delay between reality and the TV pictures, if watching live timing you know what's happened well before the TV footage.

Watching in Italy while on holiday. I don't speak any Italian so the commentary is somewhat amusing.

Wehrlein has spanked Ericsson and ahead of Alonso.

To qualify into Q2 is very impressive.

Yes a yellow messed up a few other runners but still impressive.

Still not fussed with him for some reason but well done to him.

Much better by Bottas.

Needs to be close to Hamilton here to give himself a confidence boost.

Big gaps between Mercedes and Red Bull frown

I think it says more about Ericsson than it does Wehrlein to be honest...
