Thanks for that link.

I've just 'tuned in', I've never been an Alonso fan but I really hope he does well. The utube chat channel is insane!

Really looking forward to seeing him [Alonso] out on track.
I agree - I don't see a downside for either sport.

Marco Andretti will take the car out first to check it out before handing over to Alonso
hehe

But should I nip out and stick £10 on an FA win? Allegedly he's the best driver in a good car, how long will it take him to get on target vs say Montoya?

My view is whether he comes last or not. hehe I've quietly rated FA as a decent driver, I've never really related him as a team player or top of the class.

This is going to be very interesting, from what I can gather these oval races are a different game all together.

As I've said, I don't particularly rate him in the whole game that is F1. If he can prove himself in oval racing then f**king A1.

The transitions from one form of motor sport to another is apparent, look at Rossi and Raikonen going for a go at top flight rallying.

As said, I'm no fan of Alonso, but I really really really hope he does well here.

I think the "chat" box on these live streams is a complete waste of time

a) the data scrolls far too quickly

b) it's 99% nonsense.

It was the same when I was watching the Spacex launch on Tuesday. Not worth the effort.

I tend to watch the videos in fullscreen mode, so don't see the chat screen smile

Is it reference to FA's (and Kimi's) frequent initial responses to questions? smile

It was started by Kimi and now Vettel also does it. Quickly became a meme.

An excellent observation Eric, however I think there is an extra game to play here/there. Just report everything you determine to be 'crap' and then post as many 'bwoooooras' as you can and see how long it is until you get banned.

Get with the kids Eric wink

Would it have been way more funny if it was a 'I was taking a st' meme?

Anyway, thanks for the education.

On to more serious matters, when is FA actually going to drive the oval?

There is something strangely beautiful watching a car lapping at speed on an oval - and it sounds OK too - like a fast car SHOULD sound.

It's almost like a song.

That was a great shot of FA putting on his helmet and getting in the car.

Come FA - (I don't really like the guy) but I really want him to do well. Massive pressure now.

He's about to prove or lose himself.

Indeed. Pole last year was 230.76 mph for reference.
