I haven't watched Indy cars for years. Thought I'd switch off once Alonso's engine let go, but I'm hooked! Much more action than F1.
I have to say apart from amount of breaks the US team take it has been very very good.

Makes Monaco look terrible after the bore fest today.

Raw racing.

Still, I reckon he'll fancy another go at this - I think he'll get a few offers based on this performance.
I reckon if Max wins this every F1 driver will fancy his chances.

About 47 years ago! laugh

Alonso has hinted strongly before the race, he planned to come back if he didn't get it today.

I don't really get the issues with Chilton. In a crappy car he was incredibly reliable in F1 and you don't end up in an F1 seat without having a bit about you (money or not).

He drove brilliantly today and I wouldn't be at all surprised if he managed to tick off two of the three triple crown achievements in his career.

I was never a fan when he was in F1, but he was definitely a safe pair of hands. I really do think his "safe and steady, being it home in one piece" style would suit WEC. I'd like to see him contest Le Mans.

Based on 2015 figures, Max will have won >$600k for 4th today. So safe and steady pays the rent at least smile
