He is the Rupert Murdoch of India. He has stolen, borrowed and tried to manipulate his way through his debts that were in place long ago.

Stealing money from one company to try to bail another and simultaneously, lining his own, personal pockets. Sadly, the greedy banks, who now fully understand "too big to fail", kept on lending as his legal and financial bods convinced them all would be fine.

The epitome of a greedy sociopath.

Hmmm, not the best description of a pre-pack administration.

Their drivers did well in the last race. One of them will go of course if Stroll does take over.

Not a good day for the sport.

Heck of a way for a dad to ensure son has a drive.

Can't think of a better team to invest in to be honest. Very consistent, always punching above their weight in terms of budget vs points and rarely put a foot wrong in terms of strategy etc.

It seems Perez brought the petition. Perhaps Slim is interested?

I do hope that a good solution is found for the team, they deserve better.

It does appear that Perez and BWT are forcing Mallyas hand as the decision to sell is now not his as it sounds like he's been holding out for far more than the team is worth.

Without doubt he is a conman and sad to see he is quite happy to see another 600 people lose their jobs rather than him sell at a realistic price (he won’t get any of the money and it won’t make much of a dent to what he already owes).

These horrible people reflect badly on F1 (similar to Briatore slimey con-men) and it will be good to see them gone.

Did anyone notice him and his son poncing around the paddock as if they owned it on the Ch4 quali program? Disgusting way of running a business.

He's got rid of his daft haircut, probably for his court appearance.

worst thing is the way its been setup almost all the debts are to its own solvent parent company so its unlikely any other creditor will actually get the money they are owed.

Whilst that maybe legal, it's clearly not right. But can there be any creditors that were not aware that this might happen?

Indeed - the haircut of a man that would try, but fail, to dominate the stairs ... a wannabe Flavio I think.

Good riddance, hope he likes Indian prison food.

(It was quite awesome the way Stroll and his consortium managed to take over the team, doing so in such a way that didn’t cost much less money than a straight purchase - but led to the Indians (Mallya and Roy) getting nothing out of the deal).

Doubt he will ever go inside.
He is a lot less rich than before but can still live like a king back in india.
