Lewis is 14 sec behind Kimi, not happy on the SS?
He's settled for 4th. Looking after the engine? Perhaps looking after tyres and hoping for a SC. He's not under threat from behind.

The sky commentary team don't understand that the "total" pit time includes covering about 600 meters of race track.... they really can't work out why the gaps don't change by 30 seconds.

I'm going back to C4.
And you have to pay to listen biggrin

Yep, called it about 15 mins ago, they guaranteed his 4th, when they could have tried for 3rd.
Merc policy though isn't it - lead driver first.

Another modern track that needs to be taken off the calendar. Dull, dull race.

Bernie is needed to give the appearance that Putin is a tall, powerful, giant of a man his image requires.

Ps. He uses lifts in his shoes.

Anyone know if single seater drivers brake-check before heavy braking to combat brake pad knock-off as its the norm in normal car racing in with GTs,Touring Cars, etc?

Totally agree.

Hopefully Vettel makes the last 12 laps better.

A lot of us still get it for free.

Anyhow, I doubt they just guessed it from the time it takes to drive through, they can only be sure when someone goes through and see where they come out.

Vettel is absolutely taking the piss on the track limits in turn 3. I don't understand why he can do that and gain time lap after lap without penalty but Magnussen and Vandoorne got slapped with 5 second penalties for running wide in turn 2 and not losing enough.

When they are racing against each other yes, but no reason not to pit Hamilton if bottas didn't need to come in. They wouldn't just leave him out until bottas pitted.

Still think Bottas will control it.

Vettel will make it as hard as possible.

I know it will probably be an unpopular assessment, but; I think I prefer the tyre life from last year, especially when there were races with 3 tyre types on circuit together and mixed strategies vs virtually indestructible tyres and nailed on one stop snore feasts.
