Did EJ just announce that McLaren will be running with Mercedes engines next year?
He did. I think it's bks. Alonso to Renault in 2018 I can believe though.
And Sauber to use Honda. I await further announcements with interest.

As if they are not in enough trouble already.

They could be offered for a substantially less sum than the Ferrari engines, they could also be free based on 2017 results. Useful saving on the budget.

Plus all the talk of more concessions for Honda to catch up, could be a wise deal if it works.

So the teams will be putting in five or six laps on the tyres they'll use for the first part of the race.

I assume that means the first pit stops will be a bit early.

Or will the top four cars take a risk and see how slowly they can go and still get through to Q3.?

Why is that? I thought engine manufacturers were made to give the most current engines to customers.

Christ palmer is terrible. The difference between him and hulkenberg has been embarrassing all year.

Nerp, Sauber have the 2016 Ferrari engine this season- and it is feasible that the Honda will be as good as a one year older Ferrari engine in the not too distant future.

Oddly, I feel exactly the opposite, guess it depends what you're used to.

I might have to try a full session on C4 to give it a proper go

I'd forgotten about that until you mentioned it!

I'm glad it's gone too - it was ridiculous!
