To be fair, the only thing we can judge is the end result.
Did Lewis know Merc were about to dominate? He either exercised some brilliant judgment or got very lucky - 100% opposite Alonso. And most of the criticism came from McLaren and Ron fans (I think Lewis saw that Whitmarsh was / had really damaged the team, there was clear tension between them). But I guess a huge part of any drivers legacy is getting into the right car at the right time. This Ferrari spell could be brilliant for Seb!
My own feeling is that Lewis felt that M-B would have a very strong engine for the 2014 season onwards, and pretty much wrote off 2013 in his mind. As it turned out, he was strong in 2013 too but that was probably an unforeseen bonus. I think he had his sights fixed firmly on the 2014 regulations. Did Lewis know Merc were about to dominate? Well for the moment the "over rated rookie amateur" is ahead of "the former world champion" in free practice.
Let's be honest, I do like Jenson.
I think he's a great guy and a top F1 driver.
But he would never have been WDC without the loophole that Ross Brawn found in the regulations.
The same loophole that Williams and Toyota found and was available to his not exactly rubbish teammate? Let's be honest, I do like Jenson.

Hopefully someone who is closer to it will be able to confirm (or otherwise).

IIRC only BAR, Williams and Toyota were not involved with writing the regs. The fact they all spotted the loophole is because they read what was written, rather than what had been discussed and intended.

Ross Brawn even said to the other teams, are you sure you want to carry on with the regs as the downforce levels are looking a bit high... he thought they had all found the loophole.Hopefully someone who is closer to it will be able to confirm (or otherwise).

My fingers are crossed for a Mercedes win. Never been a Ferrari fan can't stand all the baseball caps, anoraks and associated tat: they're like the Man United of the F1 world.
Well that's a rational reason to dislike a racing team!!Why are you such a Ferrari fan; you Italian? Own a ferrari, got a relative who works there or just like red cars!

Yep, I think so... I've always supported Williams as a team and British drivers.

I used to be tribal in my support for Ferrari, to be honest. Why are you such a Ferrari fan; you Italian? Own a ferrari, got a relative who works there or just like red cars!
Since Schumacher retired I found myself just enjoying the racing, though I do have a soft spot for any of the "garagista" teams. I have been a guest of both Williams and Ferrari and both are wonderful.
