Watching the Claire Williams interview on C4. It's weird how she can switch between calling Frank Williams 'Dad' and 'Frank'. I can only ever call my dad 'Dad', and thats it.
It is a bit weird. I guess she's separating her father and her boss.

Watching it just makes me wish I could see them win the championship again. When I was a kid they won everything. Mansell was my Dad's favourite. We had Renaults. I still have the cap celebrating their constructors wins. Would be amazing to see them win.

Both Mclarens on their fifth turbos and MGU-H components in less than 6 races - they'll be having a lot more penalties like that to come!

Others too - both Ferraris are on their third turbos!

Isn't the Ferrari a lot shorter in wheelbase than the Merc? I'd have thought that's a clear advantage at a track like this.

So the Ferrari is fastest again. On average Clearly the quickest car around a track this year so far.

Wondering how long it will be until vettel/ Ferrari start getting the Hamilton treatment from pistonheads users, bashing him for only winnnng because he's in the fastest car, not a worthy champion or great driver blah blah blah...

I know people diss Pat Symonds as being very boring, but I'm really enjoying his talk on downforce (on Sky F1 just now)... even if Ted is getting visibly glazed eyes and testily saying "I see... yes... right". LOL

Well, I enjoyed it anyway.

Yes, they were being pretty rough with it. They also smashed the rear down onto the tarmac a couple of times too.

Pat said they had 12 mechanics working on it!

I think Merc's will be split over 2nd and 3rd rows. Car just doesn't have the grip.

Danny Ric had rear brake failure at the end of FP3, Horner just said they had a chafed brake line inside the "drum" on the hub.

Replacing the rear corner apparently. I wonder if it's standard practice to change the whole assembly in the event of a new issue arising in the hub for example. Seems a lot of work compared to replacing a bit of brake pipe and a bit of cowelling or whatever.

That's all Vettel ever had from people when he was in a Redbull. You clearly have a short memory.

Edwards you twit, a 1:13.496 is not a '1:13.4' and a 1:13.289 is not a '1:13.2'

I think it'll make for am interesting season TBH. The Ferrari is fast but consuming parts much faster so probable grid penalties.

If Vettel wins this I might put some cash on Hamilton for WDC.

Trouble is that the current cars are so insanely complex and packaged, that you have to pretty much take the car apart to change anything on them now.
