Hes already done two race distances in a day with Renault at last year's test? If he wasn't up to it he wouldn't be there
Racing is ALWAYS more intense. 2 x 2 hour tests with a handful of other guys and no wheel to wheel and people generally keeping out of each others way
vs
2 x 90 min Practice sessions
1 x 1hour Practice
1 x 20mins Q1 (wont get further )
Then potentially a 2 hour race
And of course some races are back to back to back. So accumulated tiredness becomes a thing!

Kubica was racing in the N/A days so I'm sure he's up to the fitness/fatigue demands.
I am interested to see how he handles being at the back of the grid on a track full of bumper-cars. Has he been single-seater racing in the past couple of years?
Don't think so. That said, how advanced are the simulators these days? Do they only simulate one car / many tracks or do they simulate other cars as well?I am interested to see how he handles being at the back of the grid on a track full of bumper-cars. You should forward your concerns to Williams as I'm sure they haven't considered any of this.
My gut is that Williams are more concerned with using the millions he must be bringing with him, and the "good news pr story" to keep the lights on.Look at the Sirotkin choice if you want to know how they REALLY feel about putting someone not very fast in their car

Lance has scored points at every opportunity in that car when it’s been possible, he’s maximised on every opportunity pretty much, I think he’s way more decent than he’s given credit for and that’s hurt Sirotkin because the general thougjts were Lance is poor.
Lance is poor, he has spent his entire life with Daddy getting him the very best, even buying engines and teams to do so.
He was never going to get that at Williams so basically bought a tam to ensure his son gets a ride for the next 5 years or so.
it is pathetic really, sad aswell that Williams had to stoop to this level.

If Lance is soooo poor how come he comfortably dispatched Sirotkin and got a Podium in his first year.
Like it or not Every time that circumstance has conspired to make that rubbish Williams have a chance and be competitive Kance has taken the chance and put the points on the board.
He’s certainly not the best but he’s not terrible and has put in some decent drives

If RP Force India manage to produce their usual decent car, Perez is a decent driver, Lance will have no where to hide. We’ll see what he’s got.He was never going to get that at Williams so basically bought a tam to ensure his son gets a ride for the next 5 years or so.

Re Williams, no one expects them to produce the car of 2019 but I’m hoping they put together a good package they can build on and give them a chance to battle with the teams above them.

Yes, that will be interesting - just a shame it has come at the expense of Esteban Ocon who has generally had similar pace to Sergio Perez.Mr Tidy said:

He's won stuff in the lower formulas. He can't help that the old man is wedged but he still actually had to drive the car. Hopefully Ocon will make a return in 2020...Things were simmering away nicely between him and the you Prince Max. Max irritated, with a bee in his bonnet is always good viewing in my book.
