To be fair to Williams, by mid-season they were finishing 30 seconds behind the midfield cars, but in the last few races they have been within touching distance and even mixing with them - and that's apparently with having given up on this years development. And in Stroll's defence, he has regularly put in some stunning first laps which has given him the chance to fight in the midfield through the race, whereas Sirotkin has tended to be stranded a few seconds off the back except for when he does a very long first stint.

From that, I'm assuming there were some operational issues at the track as well as the obvious design issues at the start of the season.

It really won't take such a massive leap from Williams to put a car in the midfield next season.

Lance is poor, he has spent his entire life with Daddy getting him the very best, even buying engines and teams to do so.

He was never going to get that at Williams so basically bought a tam to ensure his son gets a ride for the next 5 years or so.

it is pathetic really, sad aswell that Williams had to stoop to this level.
If RP Force India manage to produce their usual decent car, Perez is a decent driver, Lance will have no where to hide. We’ll see what he’s got.

Re Williams, no one expects them to produce the car of 2019 but I’m hoping they put together a good package they can build on and give them a chance to battle with the teams above them.
