Already answered previously to question being asked, he had a solid rookie season and brings plenty of funds, they’d be on crack to get rid of him.

Why do you suppose two teams have now overlooked Kubica after testing?

No the fact someone who you say is being overlooked by Renault and Williams is faster than the driver they had in the car for a full season.

Clearly Kubica has his issues but to beat your current driver is laughable.

Williams would need to be on crack then to keep Stroll.

I would say two teams that are in possession of all the facts know better than an Internet fanboi.....whilst also knowing what’s best for their team.
If he’s been tested twice by a factory team and then by a privateer when he brings Cash then clearly he isn’t all that is he....

Excuses to hold up your argument.

Considering what Kubica has to deal with yet he still beats the current driver that is pretty telling.

But you seem happy that a paid average driver is given another year in F1.

Yep. Happy for Williams to make the decision best for them and happy a rookie is given chance to develop and flourish rather than be scrapped after one season.

Better than sign an old timer for nostalgias sake and more risk to the team

Surely all of this confusion can’t be originating from Jim not knowing the facts?
The fact in your head are not facts.
Did you know that Sirotkin and Stroll were faster in Abu Dhabi than Kubica or not?

An old timer who was faster after one test than their full time Stroll. biggrin

Laughable you are still trying to proceed with this.

No need to take the mick out of the poor guy...
A weak attempt at humour?
Nothing like taking what I said totally out of context... my comment was with regards to Jolly Jim seemingly writing off Stroll and pinning all on Kubica as Williams’s saviour and but now a lost opportunity.
the Murdoch name is apt wink

Yes laughable that I’m not arguing with the decision of one of the sports most successful teams ever.......

You’re laughable for the fanatical fanboism and thinking you know better than those who are a lot more informed than you are.

Kubica was faster than Stroll.
Where are you getting your figures from? Joe Saward states Kubica was 0.4 secs per lap slower than Stroll once everything was equalised (tyres, fuel load, temps etc).

You're attempting to talk rationally to someone with entrenched ideas. You're encountering the backfire effect.

Essentially, the more wrong Jim is, the more convinced he'll be that you're a threat and that he's in the right.

It's fight or flight.

Have you now switch your argument from wanting Sirotkin out the team to wanting Stroll out?
What’s done is done... With the data they have Williams have made their choice. Next month we’ll see how they go in testing and at some point you will be telling us or we will tell you we told you so.
I think it’ll all hang on if William excel and produce a decent car, that will be half the battle.

First year Paddy's had a chance to direct things. Interesting, but I suspect he won't have had the resources to do anything all that special.
