As I've previously stated, I'd love to see Kubica back on the starting grid. Is Sirotkin 'buying' the drive as he offered more cash than Robert K? Part of me believes this is the case, but: if Kubica genuinely was faster/better than the Russian, he'd probably score more points. What do points make - PRIZES, thus bringing more cash into the team than the difference between his and Sirotkin's 'golden hello'. Formula 1 is a strange beast indeed.
When two teams pass him up then surely you have to think there's something there? And Sirotkin was faster at the Abu Dhabi test.

There will be a lot of pressure on Sirotkin and Stroll for 2018.

Stroll was slower than both Kubica and Sirotkin and he has had a full year racing the Williams.

Hopefully Sirotkin's shows he has the talent and deserves the driver but Stroll is a lame duck.

If Sirotkin doesn't outperform Stroll the team will face some difficult questions.

Not if Siroktin brings more cash than a few more points at the back of the grid does.

Given that that isn’t really the work of a genius to figure out itvtather points to the fact that Sirotkin was faster........

I’m repeating myself now but the conversation is repetitive by nature so here goes.

It looks like Sirotkin was faster and brought more money. If you’re choosing between those drivers it’s a no brainer. Williams have retained the services of Kubica. Win/win/win for a team which is continuing to struggle.

I honestly don’t know how people can not grasp this concept.

Some suggested (even in this thread) that it's not unlikely that the test was supposed to have the outcome it did.

That has also been echoed by the likes of Joe Saward who have the trusted connections to find out.

Tbh Williams will never win another title whichever driver they choose now or in the distant future

Their best chance is a budget cap and affordable engines pist 2021, until then it is about survival.

Why?

Stroll was right up there with Force India and Sitotkin kept it sensible on his debut? What would Onearmed Bob have done?

Sick comment.

Hopefully you never have a serious injury.

Lol

Anyway in Q2 Stroll was .25 off Vandoorne in a McLaren and Magnussen in a Haas so either Stroll is better than you think or the Williams is better than you think, either way you are wrong on saying they are both crap ;-)

No need.

a) he has 2 arms
b) he is a better driver than any of us

Think before posting.

I’m not the first to refer to him this way, and I’ve already expressed my admiration previously in this thread

No answers to the actual post though

I suspect he would have been slower than Stroll.
