Believe Stroll had a day with Rob Wilson ...... F1 driver coach last week ........ looks great .... seems to have had benefit
He also had a day of testing the 2014 car at COTA doing 'generic setup' work. Apparently he had lost his way with setting up the car and so wanted to try a few things, including Massa's setup, outside of the pressure of a GP weekend. The additional tank full of 'special' oil reminds me of when my kids were Cadet kart racing in the late 80's. Some of the karts started sporting fuel filters on the fuel line just in front of the carbs. They were getting larger and larger - like bloody Coke cans some of them. I asked another karting dad what this was all about, as the carbs had filters built into them. It turned out, so the rumour went, that they were filled with rocket fuel, guaranteed to get the kiddy off to a flying start once the race started. Fifteen laps later, it had all been used up and replaced by legal fuel from the tank, which is where samples were taken from by scrutineers, of course. My level of technical sophistication was not even up to conceiving of such a ruse, let alone applying it, but I tell you some big names, later to star in top level racing both sides of the Atlantic, were involved. Allegedly.
Who will Max hit? To make it easier, let's say on the first lap.
The cirtcuit doesn't inspire. Given how excited I've been before some of the other races only to be disappointed, that might bode well. Here's hoping.
There is the problem with the softs. This might not be a walk in the park for the Mercs.

What's Mariah Carey there for, does she know anything about racing, anything about Baku, anything at all?
I expect she's collecting a giant "personal appearance" fee. If you have enough money she (and most celebs) will show up at your birthday/wedding anniversary/whatever. They almost all do it. Roofless Toothless said:

It's always been thus. There was the well documented case of the Chapman-era Lotus cars having oversized water tanks that would dump their contents during the race to allow the cars to run under-weight, because for post-race scrutineering at the time you were allowed to refill all fluids before inspection, which would bring the cars back up to the minimum weight.
