Seb with regards to his penalty for shirt wearing
"Disqualify me, I’m happy to,” he said on Sunday. “I keep the shirt on for the national anthem in support of those people that suffer in this country because some make laws that I think, rather than protecting children, is probably threatening these children and compromising the way they grow up. That’s why I’m happy to take any penalty they want to give me for that.”
He’s not in with a shout of the world title and he’s not going to be sacked from his team so any penalty they give him personally is meaningless anyway.

Yes, and in fact he's probably happy to get the penalty because it means that everyone is still talking about this issue. If they'd just let him wear his shirt and said and done nothing about it then nobody would be talking about it now.

The Aston PR chief Matt Bishop is a very high profile gay rights proponent, he was one of the first people in F1 to come out years ago. The team will back Vettel's stance completely.

Aston Martin team members aren’t all fans of seb’s T-shirt. This man is a bell end.

I did a quick Google search for this guy and there is no suggestion that he works for Aston Martin. It seems to me he's just a bloke who posts a lot of nonsense on twitter and instagram. He's probably just bought an AM shirt and some Mattia Binotto glasses in an attempt to look cool.

His LinkedIn profile mentions nothing of Aston Martin, and very little of F1...just some usual buzzwords that dont actually make sense biggrin

His Facebook profile is definitely not that of someone working for or with a major F1 team.

Seems like he'd fit in well with Rich Energy....

As will most people, surely. It might have hurt them in the points, but will not harm the brand one iota

Highly impressive memory for stats by SV on the video just posted to the F1 YouTube channel. I got them back to 1982 but Seb is clearly VERY passionate about the history of F1 which is fantastic to see these days.

That’s seriously impressive from Seb, rattling through the ‘50s and ‘60s champions in order.

Surprised by Max there too, didn’t have him down as an F1 historian even though he was brought up around it.

I got Rosberg in ‘82, but missed Piquet in ‘81. It’s a fun exercise!

Seb is trying to make this whole episode about the content of his T-shirt when it’s actuality just about the T-shirt.

The reprimand is getting more column inches than the slogan so probably win win all round.

I can all the way back to the 50's but then start to mix up my Fangio's and Ascari's.

Most I think, but not all. If everyone was positive amount standing up for gay rights, there would be no need to stand up for gay rights. smile

Did anyone manage to find out what (if any) connection he had to any F1 team?
He seemed to re-share Aston Martin content along with some fairly unpleasant anti-Hamilton stuff, but there doesn't seem to be any link to any team.

The only info I can find about him is that he's been the director of half a dozen dodgy nutrition/cosmetics/wellness companies..
