Perhaps they recognise that they're professional sportsmen; operating in a high adrenaline, high emotion environment and therefore things are said/done in the heat of the moment?
They all do it (shift blame, look at incidents unobjectively)
The ability to respect your competitor and let bygones be bygones is an admirable one.
Yes I thought this may be the case too. The drivers know the pressure and the ins and outs of what they are all going through. They are clearly much, much better at letting things go than folk on Internet forums who can bring up a specific incident from 10 years ago at will to justify not liking somebody! They all do it (shift blame, look at incidents unobjectively)

General consensus seems to be that he makes the paddock a better place, its hard go argue with that when it's coming from the people actually in the paddock with him.

Must be Piastri to Alpine then.
I bloody hope so. It’s criminal someone with his talent hasn’t got a drive this year. At least the flotsam has gone. (Mazespin)
Stroll isn’t that bad results wise, he’s just a personality vacuum which does him no favours.
Well, I say that but on the rare occasion he does let his personality come through he sounds like an utter arse. Perhaps an example of why open your mouth and confirm when you can keep it shut and let people guess.
Despite F1s best intention to lead us otherwise I think Tsunoda, Jhou, Schumacher and Latifi probably don’t deserve their seats.
They didn’t set the lower formula on fire and haven’t done much of anything since arriving in the top formula.
To be honest I’d rather see Jamie Chadwick in for any of them.

If she was good enough, she would have a seat. The first female top line driver in F1 would be big news and big business. There is a reason why she isn't in a seat now. Mick is a slow starter it seems, he has put in some decent drives recently. He isn't top rate, but decent enough for a career in a mid field team.
All these guys, even Stroll, are quick drivers. It's usually their heads that let them down when they get to F1 level, it's a highly technical sport and you need to be switched on to do it well. Tsunoda is a lazy arse, he could be great if he learned what work ethic means. Jhou has more potential IMHO.
- Zhou
Schumacher did deliver well in the lower formulas (F4,3,2 Champion and beat Illot who was very highly rated)
Zhou never seemed to really get going in F2 after showing really good promise early on. Have a feeling his F1 career might end up the same which is a shame as he seems like an ok guy based on interviews etc

It took Mick 1.5 seasons to get going in F2. He is a steady Eddie it seems.I would agree RE Tsunoda and Latifi

He’s a modern day Palmer. Not that I don’t like either of them but they have their limitations.vaud said:

Nice Vettel story (about the bread)
He really is the sort of chap who would be a great guy to know, F1 driver or not. Leclerc seems very similar too from what I know of him off track. I'm sure there are a few others on the grid too.Nice Vettel story (about the bread)

Sadly, due to the way RB conduct themselves in public, I immediately thought "what is their spin here?" If true, it is getting another well-liked F1 driver - along with Ric - to be the "friendly face" of RB media deflection and distraction to the worldwide audience, whilst they continue their destructive behind-the-scenes shenanigans.Other views will be along shortly.
EDIT: "[Daniel's] still one of the biggest names, one of the biggest characters in Formula 1," Horner said.
"He obviously has a history as being a Red Bull Junior, and just with the demands that are on the race drivers these days, from a marketing perspective alone - we're very active as a team, we do many show runs and events - and to have a driver of Daniel's profile and history with the team and within the group is only an asset for us."
Ric smiley shoey - a far more PR friendly face of acceptance than a pouty, bitter Max.
