This little girl cloud9 :
- Her stepfather is 3 times F1 world champion.
- Her grandfather is 3 times F1 world champion.
- Her dad is a GP3 champion.
- Her uncle is a F-E champion and British F3 champion.

Her 'dad' is crying. And hope he's ok. This goes past social media. I'm not knocking Max, he's been great. But I do feel for Danii.

Why? He broke with Kelly, it was his choice.

Has he? I thought they were still together. Hope they are.

Max and Kelly are still together. In fairness I hadn't realised that (allegedly) Daniil Kvyat cheated on Kelly when she was pregnant - silly boy.

I was referring to Daniil. He left Kelly with a baby.

He's a good and aggressive driver, but would he have the courage to drive the same way if he raced in the 1970's and didn't have a halo protecting him? We'll never know, but my guess is he wouldn't.

he definitely wouldn't - none of them would. You drive to the max (no pun intended) with what you've got. These days, if you get it wrong, it's a 10s penalty; in the 70s you were engulfed in a fireball.

Great racing, reminded me why I started watching F1 in the first place.
I don't for one second believe max races rhe way he does because he feels safe inside his halo. Hebraces his way because it's 'his' way and would have developed it it over many years in many formulas without halos

To be fair he drives the F1 car like he drove a kart, my son race’s karts, zero protection and they all race really hard

yes

It's the usual lazy commentary and does his generational talent a massive disservice.

+1

Max is out on his own and the others need to up their game.

But who could take the other RB seat ?
Alonso was offered a contract for a 3rd time but he once again refused. Sainz has a big offer from Audi that can't be matched and Leclerc signed a big deal with Ferrari.
Maybe Lewis could've had it but declined ?

Sainz only needs to look at DR to see why taking a big payday should wait until you're past your prime. In your prime, choose the car, always.

Sainz may have a big offer from Audi, but it doesn't mean he's going to take it.

I would also suspect that the deal on offer from RBR is short - 1 or 2 years. Sainz will want some stability/continuity, understandably.

I have heard nothing suggesting that Alonso or Hamilton was offered a deal by RBR. Drivers at that end of their career are not normally on RBR's radar.

Horner will know that you can't have two number ones.....

I hope Sainz takes the RB seat, for a few reasons. Audi will pay a lot of money but I cannot see why any competitive driver would move for money, rather than to build a legacy of results? IMO it'll be at least a couple of seasons before their car is super competitive, and why wouldn't you want to drive the best car and within the best team on the grid? He's a very rich man already, I hope he does the right thing and doesn't sell out.

To be fair, Max didn't have many years in many formulas other than karting. He did one year plus one winter series, I believe, prior to F1. He didn't win either series but it was his dominance in the second half of the Euro F3 series that got him the F1 gig. Incredible really.
