Not their fight so theyll let him straight through
Mind you Alonso versus Hamilton a few weeks ago was excellent although FA was being a superb wingman for Ocon and actually did have an interest in keeping him behind
Possibly, or maybe someone will remember being on the wrong end of his agression and just choose to squeeze him into a wall or over a big kerb.Mind you Alonso versus Hamilton a few weeks ago was excellent although FA was being a superb wingman for Ocon and actually did have an interest in keeping him behind

tbh i doubt even that would do it
only way Max is going to learn is if he loses a WDC ...& so far, out of the 2 proper impacts he's had with his championship rival he's got 0 pts out of a potential 50 (whilst Hamilton has 25)
If he keeps up that scoring ratio he'll lose the WDC to Hamilton & he will have only himself to blame ...as the RBR is clearly the quicker car
Also suspect that Hamilton has noted that Max seems to have a in his armour regarding the above, in that he struggles with his race craft & the ability to know when it's clear to go round the outside or when to yield- i'd expect that to be exploited to the maximum in the forthcoming races as the pressure ramps up
Trying to work out why the word would be censored only way Max is going to learn is if he loses a WDC ...& so far, out of the 2 proper impacts he's had with his championship rival he's got 0 pts out of a potential 50 (whilst Hamilton has 25)

One of its uses is a very mild racist slur. Next we can possibly expect to see slope treated the same way, plus frog and Roast Beef.I'd love to understand the mind of the person that bothered to add that word to a swear filter - crazy.
Back to Max now, sorry for going off topic
Refuses to take part in the "fake" Drive to Survive series:

Wonder how bitter the producers are, and therefore how he'll be portrayed

My initial reaction is that it's actually a little self-centred.
Drive to Survive, like it or not, is bringing more fans to the sport - especially from America.
You may not agree with it's editing, you may think it's a little embellished, but to boycott it altogether as one of the top drivers isn't really thinking big picture.
This isn't Verstappen's direct problem, obviously, but the more fans the sport has, the better funded it is and the better the sport will be.
I can however see his point in that he doesn't want his message twisted.

I agree with him here. https://www.crash.net/f1/news/989869/1/verstappen-...

I've tried to watch that show, but it's silly, fake and OTT.

But he works for Christian Horner and Red Bull, so a complete hypocrite then.https://www.crash.net/f1/news/989869/1/verstappen-...

There's already a preview of the Monza episode..

Don't blame him really - I get that DTS has bought some new fans to F1, but the dodgy sound effects, dis-jointed episode ordering and fake drama just get annoying after a while.

Lol, DTS isn't even *that* bad as far as this kind of thing goes (in my limited experience).Drive to Survive, like it or not, is bringing more fans to the sport - especially from America.

I respect his sentiment but he probably needs to consider he owes his whole F1 career to the marketing division of an overpriced sugary drinks manufacturer
I can understand why Max is choosing to do this and don't have any issue with it really.
One thing I think it is fair to point out is that if this had been Hamilton there would have been a meltdown of biblical proportions, and some Pistonheaders would have been upset to the point of requiring medical attention.

But yes, the producers will absolutely find a way to make him look like a bellend as thanks for snubbing them and outing the show as fake.

Do you have to work on making Max come across as a bit of a bellend? It largely seems to be his default on camera persona anyway. But yes, the producers will absolutely find a way to make him look like a bellend as thanks for snubbing them and outing the show as fake.

Actually, I'm not, they're far too scared of him to say anything.

tbh he's been very open about hating the press/media element of his job, even were it not for him thinking they fake some of the drama on netflix - he still wouldn't have any time for it unless his lords and masters basically forced him to take part.
