Is that why Renault had a car there for Kubica to test?

I think your wrong, looks like a 2013 lotus E21 in Renault colours, it's defo not a 2017 car as it hasn't got the swept back front wing and still has the narrow rear wing and the give away is it sounds like a v8

No worries, as an aside Paul Ricard circuit does look nice, there was talk from the owners that they're toying with the idea of removing the chicane for the f1, now that's what I'm talking about
