So MCL show signs of a step forward, within .5 of the fastest time, just as they knock Honda on the head.

Have they made the wrong decision, again?
Its Alonso's legendary sense of timing again

No. It's not an engine track. See Red Bull Vs Mercedes

FP3:

Pace is not as quick as yesterday evening. Expect track to ramp up further in qualifying. 3 teams appear to be in with a shout. Looking forward to it.

I doubt there are any fixed tactics and the teams that responds well to the situation as it unfolds - crisis management perhaps - will win the race.
Indeed.

Every Singapore GP race since 2008 has had a safety car at some point. So something happening again is a pretty safe bet for this place.

Stupid me. I had an early lunch and made myself comfortable and am all ready to watch qualifying and now I realise it starts at 2pm.

New Ferrari engine to meet the oil use requirements? Did well in p3, do we think it can be turned up again for q3?

Expecting red Bull to get pupped in quali but do very well in the race.

Coulthard "Daniil's girlfriend leaning on his helmet"

One for the juvenile things thread methinks...

Good point there by Coulthard. The number of corners in the long lap might have been expected to give a greater range of times.

A fascinating 10 mins to come. This will be an unusual grid, at least without grid penalties.

I'm enjoying this.

loving the shot of the red bulls through the last 2 corners, car looks glued to the track with a mighty turn in

Great lap by Seb!

Agreed. He was in a league of his own in Q3.

Now that was one hell of a committed lap by Vet. A well deserved pole.

I thought that the two RB drivers would have this close a battle during the races this season, so it looks like we've missed some excitement. Will Verstappen last the race?

I thought LH might have taken Raik. 5th eh? Vet to lead the championship again, the only question being by how many points.

A good qualifying.
