The worst kept secrets in F1.
So, McLaren are no longer a works team but at least they have a better engine. Palmer keeps his seat until the end of the year but Sainz will take it for 2018. Toro Rosso lose a great driver and gain a 'currently' atrocious engine.

Personally I'm looking forward to McLaren being nearer the front of the pack and Sainz will do well as a works driver. I'm not sure where this leaves TR though other than at the back of the grid?

Announced. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/formula1/40613478

Jérôme Stoll, President of Renault Sport Racing:

“This is a strategic decision for Renault Sport Racing. It is the first time that Renault will work with McLaren and we are proud to have reached an agreement with an organisation that has such a rich Formula 1 history. This alliance is not only technical and sporting, but also comes with marketing and communication benefits. We know that McLaren will push us hard on track and this competition will be to the benefit of all.”

Sainz is only on loan from Toro Rosso for a year. Ricciardo may go to Renault in 2018 and Sainz into the Red Bull seat

Kyvat is the luckiest person in F1 if this means he's at Torro Rosso for another year.

Wouldn't be too sure, it's time for Gasly to step up and Honda have a development driver waiting to step up from GP2. I can only imagine Honda have huge benefits to make up for the reduction in team standing..
