Well done Sainz. Just under 7/10ths off the pace, and faster than a Ferrari.

Williams reserve driver Di Resta wearing his Williams hat suggesting "Stroll was unlucky" because he was getting out of the way of the Torro Rosso, same with ex-Williams man Fry.

The Torro Rosso was the one offline and going in the pits, Stroll was dawdling on the racing line. Clear cut.

It was quite a bizarre move, for sure. I think Stroll thought he was getting out of the way.

A blinder by LH. Bottas faster in the middle sector.

For the love of god these guys just abuse the track limits, these are supposedly the best drivers in the world & they can't keep their cars on the black stuff, a simple rule of all four wheels off & you lose the time would result in them staying on track tute suite.

Pisses me off too. They don't penalise if they didn't get an advantage. Well they wouldn't go off the track unless it was an advantage!

Couldn't agree more the advantage is that they still get to continue in qualifying, if there was a gravel trap/wall instead of tarmac/kerb then they wouldn't go anywhere near it.

Blimey. Some fun facts - Kimi is the oldest driver on the grid, it's been 10 years since his WDC, which was the last time Ferrari won one.

I feel old.

Anyone else wonder for a while why they were talking about Sainz as they were showing a Renault?

Hamilton close to the Ferrari.

Lewis is just on another level at the moment. Car didnt even seem quite as well hooked up as it was in Japan but he’s still untouchable.

Mercedes very loose leash is working wonders, he seems to travel more than ever between races but clearly it’s working for him. What does the internet know, hey?!

Impressive for LH. Great for Vettel. Bottas a bit slow but seems to have his car set up differently to Hamilton, so perhaps outright lap speed wasn't the target.
