Strange accident

Can't believe he would have been pushing very hard in Q1 lap 1

Why was there a red light entering the pitlane?

That was Vestappen's moan I think.

Lewis did say he'd help Valteri get 2nd in the championship if he was asked to, he's helped by crashing and starting at the back. smile

About a wonderful as Vettel in Baku and Singapore. Be fun to see him coming through the pack tomorrow. Still sounds full of cold

So new blue light graphics on trackside screens for rain, to me going past at 100mph+ it'll just be a flash of blue light like the type to say let someone past.

TBH, it's pretty clear when your trackside what the panel is showing... How it looks from behind a rain splattered visor I dunno.

The main function of it, is that when the marshal activates the 'rain in sector' function of the light panel it sends a message to race control and the teams. This can be done at any point during the race day.

Weigh bridge.

Confusion between Alonso and Max as to who it was for.

After being told Bottas has just pipped him, Vettel's radio went...

Aaarggghh ***looooooong bleep*** pause ***bleeeeep***

rofl

A Ferrari pole position goes begging, after a scruffy final run in Q3. That's the third time Vettel has missed out on pole this year.

Could be a fun race tomorrow. Supposed to be blazing hot, and the super softs are going to be crap, although the Merc was able to look after them better in FP1? Worth a punt on Ricciardo for podium (currently on 5-1 @ Sky).

Just seen Lewis's off. Seemed to me like the car was set too low? Lots of scraping on the ground from the offside... That circuit is quite bumpy so... Just upset the car by bouncing the underside off the floor?

As I came in from rugby the TV news was on. Doh! It's irritating but there's the race tomorrow.

It should be fun with Hamilton at the back, that's if he can be bothered. He's got to feel that this is a bit of an anticlimax. Could be fun if, as he's suggested, he'll help Bottas.

Hot weather forecast for tomorrow. Will the renault's last?

If Hamilton's enthusiasm is a little muted then I've got to say it is reflected by me, at least at the moment. One the lights go out I assume I'll be all enthused.

Yes, there was some pronounced sparking and porpoising from the rear end just before it let go.

Visions of Senna's fatal crash, although with the plank and the banning of ground effect, it was obviously far less serious.

just goes to show how fine the limit is and how if your not 100% on it it will bite.
Should be interesting race tomorrow.

I think Helmut Marko released something saying that they had always had equal treatment from Renault.
