First stage today.
Did anyone tune in to Eurosport and wonder where Carlton Kirby has gone? It’s just not the same without him. Nothing against the new guy but..
Anyway, it’s great to watch and the mileage they do daily is staggering, especially the guys who do it alone! Sod that for a laugh!
Today was just a 30km stage, felt sorry for whoever fell off over the first drop off.
Get it on series link.

I switched to Red Bull tv so I do not have to listen to the cretinous idiot.

He ruins every thing he ever does

I can imagine there are some red faces in the Peugeot camp after Leob lost his brakes completely after 3km losing 5 mins on a 30km stage.

Anyone know why Gerard de Rooy is doing the Africa Eco Race this year not the Dakar?

Just watching stg10 Dakar highlights and it seems that Carlos Sianz may be the ugly face of the Dakar , he seems to be in denial regarding a possible collision with a veteran quad rider. At best Carlos seems to be without any “spirit of Dakar”worst a blatant liar.? All just a view garnered from the Eurosport’s video , was he a bit of sourpuss when in WRC if things weren’t going his way?

It's all a bit one word against the other to be honest - no footage, one assumes witnesses have all come forwards

Whereas something is I think unexplained....the quad rider has done himself no favours with his response....

Sounds like it was written by Trump's press secretary

Oh yes, His Latin temperament would always show it's self if things went badly.
The Dakar is brilliant again this year, the first days in the dunes were incredible, hats off to anyone that finishes especially solo!

Some big names out early. Shame.
That dune where so many people got stuck looked a complete nightmare, how do you pull a truck out of that?.
I couldn't quite work out what happened to Loeb and his co driver.
The app isn't as good as previous efforts, the news doesn't flow well.
I've enjoyed watching it though, stunning camera work and camaraderie (apart from Sainz allegedly) the distance they cover is immense, I'd struggle to stay awake on the liaison sections.
