...and I with yours!

(You’re quite right of course, I just didn’t want my question to the earlier poster to be buried, I’d still like an answer from him........)

Ferrari style side pods, that’s a big change
There are detail differences, but it does look very similar overall to the 2017 Ferrari https://twitter.com/Graftechweb/status/96408061205...

I always get excited when the new cars start appearing. I think the haas looks good. The season is almost upon us. Time to get Dr Z out of storage smile

The engine doesn't look anywhere near as tightly packaged as the Ferrari.

What should it be like?

Fair enough smile

Re: your point about someone dismissing the 2014 Mercedes. Given the intelligence and qualifications of people who work for a team - I think it is safe to say that we all here are just guessing, despite the conviction that some seem to post with.

But I think anyone who proclaims themselves under-whelmed or blown away by a car - or passes any other comment on their virtues and vices - is mostly talking cobblers!

But I guess that is part of the fun!

Adjusted the light crudely on my phone, they're bringing back awful vertical side aero, hated when they had the mirrors mounted there.

Front wing looks like F1 front wing though? Not sure how it's underwhelming or overwhelming, but can't see them showing the true 2018 package

What find is Williams releasing their car?

I was hoping to be surprised by clever aero tricks on & around the halo, but there is no sign of that on the Haas. It really is just a big metal bar.

Let’s hope the big teams can innovate and come up with something a bit more interesting.
As if teams are going to give away their Halo aero solution before Barcelona.
I think HR is right, I doubt we will see anything other than a naked halo at any of the car reveals. Even at the Barcelona test I would expect some naked halos to get a baseline, and some basic aero applications. Any real insights or cleverness probably won't manifest until Australia, IMHO. Why tip your hand early.

Sauber to bring out a double halo and dominate the first half of the season.

Shorter wheelbase I think, Ferrari side pods. Looks great. Shame Alonso not driving it.

Interesting that they don't want to show the bottom of the car. Hope there's some nice trickery there that makes them perform.

Looks amazing.

But the "halo" still ruins it.
