Charlie Whiting has suggested only kerb, tecpro barriers and no track alterations at the Assen TT circuit.

So it shouldn't ruin it for the MotoGP, WSBK, BSB and national series, well not since they ruined it themselves by chopping off the northern loop in 2006.

Amazing track for bikes but F1??

They would ruin it even if they say the will not.

F1 has ruined many tracks as well as left the owners in dire financial trouble.

Hopefully this never happens.

Yes, the straights aren't long enough, track not wide enough and the corners flow into one another. It would be a very boring F1 race if it did happen.

This. And several sections of the track have a very pronounced 'crown' in the middle of the track. Absolutely fine for bikes but F1 cars won't like it at all.

I go to Assen most years, it is a great circuit for bikes, the attraction of being very easy to get to and from as well as great racing makes it my favourite circuit.
If F1 went there I would probably go to that too, downside of F1 though is ticket prices 3 times that of Motogp.

I was at the last Dutch GP- Lauda's last win too. Loved Zandvoort, great viewing , lovely people but doubtless some joyless fkwit in F1 will give 117 reasons why it can't be used again , despite current F1 cares running with 200bhp less..
