horrendous is the right word. Rain all morning. Stopped for 30 mins and now back. The races so car have been superly lively with multiple shunts in each.

Me and the Mrs are F1s rain jinx's. Monza last year, Silverstone in2016, now Albert park. Anyone doing Silverstone this year, pack a brolly.

Looking like no more rain today and the track is clearing fast. Could be a dry qual at this rate.

The two ferrari have a very strange metallic sound out of the second corner when fully opened up.

For the first time ever I have woken up for an F1 session. I hope I don’t enjoy it too much. I’ve paid for the week pass as well!

Dunno if we count we've been here since noon and have a buzz on

Anyone "thinking" about doing Melbourne, stop, just do it.

Morning.

I'm coming into this race hoping than Daniel Ric can win the race so not pleased to hear of the grid penalty, but them's the rules.

I want McLaren to do well, but also want to listen to Alonso if he qualifies behind Toro Rosso.

We're off!

I like the new graphics/fonts. It was all well overdue a makeup to be fair.

So what is the Q3 time gap going to be from the Mercedes to the next best car on the second row?

Guess it depends how well Ferrari have sussed their magic qually mode. I hope the Mercs don't walk it and someone makes life difficult for them. Hamilton is mega round here though.

That Sauber looks like a pig to drive

The fonts and text sizes used on the new graphics are barely legible on my 32” TV

The Cars sound much more racey on the onboards, I think they have moved the microphones

I know its been said before but I haven't said it yet...the in car shots are a joke.

There's a massive hula hoop blocking my view of the front of the cars. It will take some time for me to get used to that.

Scary speeds being carried through the corner. Lewis looked ragged in places and was still 2 tenths behind Kimi,
