Hello all,

I was at Silverstone for qualifying back in 2009 (attended race day too), but cannot remember how busy it got.

This year I will be in the area on the Saturday and wouldn't mind popping by. My questions:

How is traffic and parking on the Saturday?
How is viewing using a General Admission ticket on Qualifying day? I am aware I will not be able to sneak into a Grandstand.

Thanks all.

Friday is really the only day with track activity that you're going to notice things being less busy, more spots for GA viewing etc.

Saturday and Sunday is much the same in my experience. Worth noting that they've upped the GA capacity since 2009 so if it's the event is a sell out this year it will feel significantly busier than it did back then on the Saturday.

I went on the Friday last year and will do again this year.

No crowds, access to most if not all stands, a fair bit of track action.

Ridiculous price at £75 or so but my son gets a free ticket and pays for mine...........

Thank you for that - some points to think about.
