That sounds like the modern day equivalent of having Fisichella and Trulli in your cars, utterly unremarkable or interesting.
They don't have a lot of choices.

Please let them do a deal and put Ocon there for a 1+1...

If you ignore the fact that Lance's dad runs the consortium who own the RPFI team, having Stroll & Perez surely isn't in the best interest of the team if they want success and move up the grid. You want to have the best drivers that are available to the team. Therefore, having Ocon & Perez would be a much better partnership. This obviously assumes that they don't take each other out again. As mentioned, Ocon being in the Mercedes young driver program means that they will potentially have access to the best parts. If Ocon wasn't in the team, is Toto going to pull their access to Mercedes parts meaning that they may slip down the grid?

I genuinely don’t think Perez deserves the drive! Is Lawrence stroll going to stand and watch him barge his son off the track like he did ocon??

If I was rpfi I’d be signing up stroll and ocon and negotiate a better deal with Mercedes for having ocon

Depends on Perez's contract (and sponsor money...)?

I thought Perez was out of contract and if they shut the old team down and start up the new team that basically ends any agreements anyway, and if Lawrence stroll has basically unlimited funds is Perez’s money going to bother him? He might get a cracking deal from toto regarding engines and ocon

Contracts can and do survive administration, depending on the jurisdiction.

Perez has a deal based on the process of the change in team ownership.
Obviously everything can be negotiated but Perez is locked in for now.

Perez is an excellent driver who deserves a seat in the midfield as much as any other.
Perez and Ocon have seemed to me to be evenly matched; Ocon the better qualifier, Perez normally getting more from a race.

Singapore was a stinker but looked worse than it was IMO. Look back beyond the last race and you’ll find many inspired drives and the odd podium. Remind me how many of those have Ocon and Hulkenburg had...

Perez is a middling driver whose career is going nowhere, in particular. If he did not have backing, he would not have a seat. In that respect, he is no different to Ericsson.

His backing would be beneficial for Williams. Ocon would make a better benchmark for Stroll.

I agree, though I doubt Stroll would want Ocon in the other car.

They have a lot of choices. Off the top of my head I can think of at least six and there are probably at least double that I haven't thought of.

I swear some people's memories don't extend beyond the most recent race.

Perez is one of those drivers whose good performances fly under the radar but when he has a bad weekend everybody takes great delight in jumping on him.

Ocon is Mercedes' next big thing, he has not embarrassed Perez. Button didn't embarrass Perez. Hulkenberg didn't embarrass Perez. Perez has scored more podiums in the turbo hybrid era than all the other second tier team drivers combined IIRC.

I don't know why everyone bashes Perez so much.

Singapore was a complete st show from Perez but one race is not a trend.

Surprised that HAAS has stuck with both drivers again for 2019.

Not a fan of Magnussen but he has done a better job than Grosjean.

If Toto Wolf is wanting three cars teams due to his young drivers not having any seats then why does Mercedes not push some financial incentives in William's direction and fill the two seats there?

Whether Williams want to admit it or not they are not going to be fighting for any Championships in the near future/again so it would benefit both Mercedes and Williams.

Williams is already using Mercedes power plants so give them a discount on that for starters.
