Yes but only as simulator driver.According to motorsport, Giovinazzi would be called up should either Sebastian Vettel or Charles Leclerc be unavailable (even though he is signed to Sauber)

Strange turn of events given Ericsson’s backers bought Sauber. Also, Kubica in the frame as simulator driver for Ferrari, to replace both Kvyat and Giovinazzi who are leaving the red team to race for others next year.
I wonder if they are prepping towards Alfa Romeo buying them out and turning it into a works team.

The red ones are already dictating the the team, and have already taken over the sauber from longbow finance.I wonder if they are prepping towards Alfa Romeo buying them out and turning it into a works team.
They wanted an italian in the car, so they fixed that. It will be fun to follow indy next year, of course to see what marcus can do, but mostly to follow the biggest supertalent from sweden, Felix rosenqvist, which seems to be able to drive any car in the world fast as hell. To bad he havent had the same economical backing..OK, now it went a bit OT

Was it confirmed that Islero Investments = Ferrari, or is it a private investor?Alessandro Alunni Bravi - Lawyer involved with Nicolas Todt managing F1 drivers.
Pascal Picci - Longbow
Finn Rausing - TetraPak
Frederic Vasseur - Sauber
Ernst Joseph Walch - partner in the Liechtenstein law firm Walch & Schurti representing the unknown quantity that we all know anyway.

I often wondered if the stalking horse might not be Ferrari, but Bernie building a position with Ferrari to stir things up for the next negotiations.Alessandro Alunni Bravi - Lawyer involved with Nicolas Todt managing F1 drivers.

Didnt realize Rausing was in Islero aswell, but he might bail out now i guess. Quite a strange set of people otherwise, I guess there wont be any info regarding where money comes from, only guesses Alessandro Alunni Bravi - Lawyer involved with Nicolas Todt managing F1 drivers.

He's contractually obliged to get in the car and drive it around a bit during FP, quali, and the race.
Contracts only go so far. You cannot force a driver to get in the cockpit and race.
You can penalise them according to set penalties in the contract.
You can prevent them racing elsewhere.

I never said anything to the contrary. I just pointed out that he is contractually obliged. You cannot force a driver to get in the cockpit and race.

There's nothing to stop him getting in the car, doing the bare minimum (including not getting through Q3), and not making much of an effort in the race.
But he won't. Because he's a racer.
