They do show the F2 race both of them, and F2 qualifying and the practice sessions when F2 races on the same weekend as the F1. They also show the F3 as well. On the Sky F1 channel.
Yeah I guess the market just isn't there for showing it on terestrial TV. Although as above I'd far rather see the F2 race than the crappy build-up they do.
Me too

It can really only be done on a dedicated channel, it's a full race day from around 9:30am till 5pm on both Sat & Sun and Fri is longer, Monza was 9:30am till 7:30pm.

If you made F2 part of the F1 race weekend and put team names and liveries which casual F1 fans recognised on the cars, etc. I think it'd make quite a significant difference to how they were perceived.
It is in conjunction with the F1 race. What I would like to see is a 20 mins highlights package that I can watch on youtube (even with enforced adverts) within a week of the race.
Sky Sports.com have the highlights with an hour, both races, no paywall.

Eg

Race 2

Race 1

http://www.skysports.com/watch/video/11487969/f2-r...

Or showed the F2 race instead of the interminable 'buildup' they insist on padding the TV coverage with
sky have been showing live F2 (and GP3) instead of the buildup, or delaying the post race analysis when its afterwards, which is nice, as it means even if the main event is a bit of slow burner you still get to see the youngsters reliably go hammer and tongs for each other. It feels that they're moving towards being more inclusive towards the feeder series and making the tv shedule more of an event that reflects the day at the racetrack.

It’s things like this, that might make me actually consider getting sky after all. However it’s till a massive price for a few hours of tv every other weekend, plus a few test matches.

..and the Porsche SuperCup - Sky Q gets quite full on a race weekend.

it isn't cheap. With netflix which the mrs likes, motogp via web sub there's hardly much we watch on sky besides the F1, bit of snooker and some BSB on eurosport I guess. But I work hard and get stressed in the week and just like to sit back, relax and enjoy some motorsport on the weekends and if i have to pay some money to achieve that so be it.

Sorry that should say highlights within an hour of the race.

Damon Hill on commentary too.

I've just had a thought. If Le clerc goes to Ferrari next would the team be more likely to throw all their support to him over vettel especially if he makes a solid start to the season considering that he's a Ferrari academy driver

You can be pretty sure Vettel's contract will contain a few clauses to prevent that

Just to spice up this silliest of silly seasons, apparently Kimi has now purchased part of Sauber. The plot thickens...

Clickbait.

But I have heard crazier stories. Ferrari's issue might be that both Kimi and Charles have contracts (maybe Sergio committed?) and it all needs unwinding.

I can only think that there must be a serious complexity for the announcement to be delayed from Monza.
