It's F1, never been about the 20 best drivers in the world.
Ham's dominance these past 4 years is equally embarrassing.
It is not even remotely ‘embarrassing’.Ham's dominance these past 4 years is equally embarrassing.
Not sure if you are new to the sport, but this is how Formula One works. It was the same for Mansell, Prost, Schumacher, Clark, Hakkinen, Andretti, etc etc. It’s very rare a driver’s title is won with a car that does not also win the constructor’s prize, although it did happen in 2008, when the world champion drove the car that came second in the contractor’s championship.
Want to take a guess as to which driver that was?
And besides, you left out a lot of my post.
The god gifted F1 driver many make of Ham (including Ham himself) isn't reality.
Because the No.1 reason Ham won 4 times in a row is due to that three pointed star (the change in engine regulations which Merc. by far engineered the best).
Ham has a fine career, and all his career moves worked for him.
Hamilton didn't win the championship 4 times in a row, Rosberg won one, remember, you're also ignoring the fact that in 2 of those 4 years the title was decided in the last race.

Verstappen is a driver who is currently stting on his own career which is a shame because he is clearly hugely talented. What a prat for missing qualifying, breaking his car and now starting right at the back of the grid when he was in the best car this weekend.
Was it really so important to set the faster time than Danny in FP3. The Aussi must be laughing as the boy is beating himself before they even spin the wheels.
I felt the same in Baku- he really needed a clean race by then but was still driving like he had nothing to lose against someone like Vettel who had a WDC do think about. And here we have the one track where the Red Bulls are the undisputed class of the field and he was all but guaranteed at least second place and he bins it.Was it really so important to set the faster time than Danny in FP3. He's already losing the sensation of his youth as LeClerc arrives and is sharing the spotlight. He doesn't have the reputation of being a "solid" driver and his win-it-or-bin-it style won't appeal to the top teams.
I wonder if he's actually better off in a lower team. Sainz or Hulk in that Red Bull would still be collecting points if maybe not pushing Ricciardo so hard, but Max in a midfield car stealing overtakes would be the stuff of dreams for many a small team and the bodywork bill would be worth the risk if he could get the car somewhere it has no right being once or twice.

Yes, very much so. LeClerc seems to be a very talented driver, and a cool head too. Plus he has come up "through the ranks" which has earned him positive comments from Hamilton and Vettel.

Proof that the grid girl ban from F1 is stupid.
There are plenty of woman who would kill to get attention.
So? There are plenty of woman who would kill to get attention.
A girl flaunting what she's got is a world away from institutionalised "women are only good for looking pretty" which is what the whole Grid Girl thing is all about.

He had the mindset to come off the locked brakes to regain steering input to avoid hitting the wall.
All this in a split second.
1:07 for the lock up

Do you really think the grid girls have guns pointed at them to perform?

And, that, in a nutshell, is the issue. To me the difference is abundantly clear. Anyway, this is off topic in this thread so I'll leave it there.
If only the world could stop fretting over things that don’t really matter.
Unsurprisingly, Marko is losing patience with Verstapponaldo :
