Mercedes have asked for a clarification on oil burn which suggests that Ferrari have been up to something.
I had assumed that Ferrari were still burning oil - you can see it coming out of the exhaust pipe.Unless, of course, they've mounted a couple of Josticks up there just to confuse Merc.

They have an evil handling car and two drivers who bought their seats, Monaco isn't going to give them a break.
This. Even at Monaco you'll need a decent handling car with decent aero and competent drivers. The Williams has none of this.Combine the dog of a car with the inevitable crash that is bound to happen towards the rear of the grid and they'll be lucky to make it past half distance.

I guess it depends on the aero stall issue, and if it's characteristics will make itself felt...Combine the dog of a car with the inevitable crash that is bound to happen towards the rear of the grid and they'll be lucky to make it past half distance.
I'm predicting that the Mercs don't qualify on the front row. Bottas will pit early forcing the hand of the Ferraris and/or the Red Bulls (depending on who is leading) leaving Ham going long out front. One of the usual suspects will bin it bringing out the safety car leaving Ham to pit for fresh rubber and then cruise to a win by 20 seconds. We won't see it though as the battle for 2nd, 3rd and 4th will be a case of Mansell/Senna style madness resulting in a final lap crash.

What do the pit buildings double as for the rest of the year?
They're not there. They're temporary buildings, put up for the classic (every other year) and the GP. I believe it's mostly just a car park, but is also used as the muster point for the Monte, and presumably something like marquees when the boat show is on.In the old pit buildings there was famously one that had to be assembled around a tree.

Monaco should give Red Bull a good chance of a win and podium places.
Also Williams need a break and this could be their best chance until they get thair issues with the floor sorted out.

I think Monaco has a lot of it's own rules for race weekend vs other races. Ashtray83 said:

Don’t think They were told to remove the mirrors just the wingletshttps://www.formula1.com/en/latest/headlines/2018/...
Although in this guise they'll be ok (under the old rules).
Edit, found the FIA update.

You are all paying attention, good!
You guys are right, the winglet was banned but the mirror was allowed. For some reason I got it in my head that the halo mounted mirror was slightly higher than the previous chassis mounted one. The slats in the Ferrari mirrors are clear aero devices.
First glimpses of a rear wing
Not big enough!
Merc have copied McLaren style vortex generators on top of the side pods.
