Yes yes that will please the hyper-milers but that extra 2.2kg of fuel spent per lap used to sound divine.

Monza - fuel consumption

V10 engine circa 2004 - ~4 kg/lap
V6T - Hybrid - current - ~1.8 kg/lap

That's technical progress. smile
That is incredible

I wonder how the drag of the two cars compares

Each to their own. After half an hour of it I was sick to death of it and everyone in the stand had ear defenders on. It's a great sound that you always remember the first time you hear it in person but it quickly pales.

It never, ever paled for me, even after 38 GP weekends.

I've been to 1 in the hybrid era. People were actually laughing at the sound of the cars.

Stuff all the Monza Paddock Club hospitality, the best seats are always long gone.

Let’s hear it for all those kids who camp out next to the chicken wire fencing for the best viewing. Come rain or sunshine they build their ‘stands’ to get the full on experience. Sometimes up in the trees or on the ground.

I’ve been Monza five times yet Sky and Liberty Media never give em any interest. But they’re as much a part of the heretage of Monza as the old banking.
Same at Hockenheim in the old forest section, tree houses and all sorts built for the weekend's viewing. All gone now sadly.

This is one of the must see and must buy on Netflix GPs. I'm busy Saturday, but Sunday's clear.
You can watch F1 on Netflix now? In the U.K.?

It's a secret method. I can't discuss it. It has something to do with typing without thinking.

On a non-Ch4 raceday, I rushed into the house after some family obligation, switched on the TV and clicked on Netflix. It was a couple of minutes past the hour. My wife said 'Now!' (with the exclamation mark in the manner that wives punctuate by tone) and I, struggling to find F1 on Netflix, said, 'No, it starts at ten past.'

My wife sort of tutted and left the room. I worked it out just in time for the parade lap.

I like both but can't tolerate the older engines for long periods. Amazing to be near one when fired up but quickly painful.

It was apparently Kimi's car that he crashed, and thus also Kimi's fault...
