For those (like me) who did not know there is a section on the forum specifically for Goodwood yesterdays saloon car race was one of the best I've ever watched.

This clip takes you on-board with Andrew Jordan as he works his way through the field having been forced to start from the back of the grid.
Brilliant driving and a cracking race.

todays race 2 starts at 1240 and is livestreamed by Goodwood on youtube and based on yesterdays cracking race should be worth a watch..

mods please leave this in this section as people may not see there is also a section for this event under events.

A friend of mine works for JRT and helped build that and the light blue car. Both those and the red one are all immaculately prepped for every meeting, the red one slightly less so after the second race sadly.

Shame to see the red one get destroyed in the second race in a nasty poking crash for the owner (especially after Ash Sutton doing so well in race one which looked like he had won it until he had to pit just before the end).

Testament to the guys that built that car and the quality of their work and the cage. Also a reminder of how quickly things can go wrong and why safety equipment is so important.

I haven’t heard off him much over the weekend but looks like they’ll be building a new car for the owner if he decides to go that way. The shell for that one wont be coming back other than as a parts donor.

And people wonder why prices for old Fords are so high...........

There's a finite supply of 2 door Mk1 Cortina shells.

People wonder why my motorsport of choice is classic cars followed by rallycross.
I love to see cars that move about and have loads of driver input .
I also think old cars need to be used as intended and not as static displays .
They just need to add in the classic super/thunder saloons and I will be in pure heaven .
