If the rumours about Ferrari being fed up with the prima-donna are true then another DNF would mean Kimi could have a seat at Ferrari next year (alongside LeClerc). I just can't warm up to that little German weasel, after his RB days.
Oh I see. So you don't like Vettel.
For a moment it sounded like you don't like close racing and a tight championship

What other options are there? I'd love to see Kimi or Verkrasshen challenge Hamilton but it ain't happening any time soon.

"Verkrasshen" that's quite good that, all your own work?

Unfortunately not.

Mind you, last time Max stuck one up the inside of Hamilton he accused Max of being "disrespectful".

Ferrari have had the rug pulled from under their feet literally, the floor they have been running previously has been pulled (I have been led to believe)
Now that would be interesting. Any further news on that? Is this something that happened after Monza?

Is it the pre-Monza requirement for modification that cost Grosjean?

It was suggested that there was little advantage from it yet every little bit counts.

That's a very bold prediction and not because Vettel is making mistakes and he can sort it out for the remainder of the season.

It's because the car is not as much faster than the Mercedes for the last two years as people like to think.

Also, I think people are again underestimating the expected performance of Mercedes at Singapore for this year. Both Ferrari and Mercedes are following different concepts to last year. The Mercedes might actually be faster than the Ferrari this weekend.
How is your ‘Mclaren on the podium’ prediction working out? hehe
Think I'm with Dr Z's thinking here (not the crazy McLaren stuff :-) ). Last year, the Ferrari looked an easier race car, good pace, less affected by dirty air, gentle on tyres.. all while being similar pace to the Merc. This year, I'd say Ferrari have more of an outright pace advantage (far from huge) but I'm not sure they hold the other benefits - in fact, I was amazed at how comfortable Lewis was following Kimi closely last time out. Of course they were set up differently and maybe the Merc was less optimised for the straights which really helped it follow through the corners.

I'm finding it really hard to predict Singapore this year as the car's characteristics look different to last year to me.

It was formally pulled in Hungary, but allowed to run at spa, not monza, as the break should have allowed enough time to remanufacture to the regs, the floor had some subtile differences between the Ferrari and The Hass.

To be honest the fia could have imposed sanctions, fine or points deductions but decided not too, they are trying to get this championship decided on the track.

Hass should have registered the out of regs floor before the race.

LH lost a lot of time through the Parabolica. It was noticeable on the timing screens. On occasion the Ferrari gained half a second, although I think that might have been LH looking after his tyres. When he was trying he lost a couple of tenths.

He was watching the blisters growing on Raikkonen's left rear.

I'd say my prediction is going as well as your 'clean sweep for Vettel' will go. wink

You must really not rate Hamilton's abilities as a racing driver and Mercedes' strength as a team to make this prediction.

Imagine if some youngster tried to unlap himself in the wet going past Hamilton. That’d be a shocking display of disrespect hehe

My predictions will be wrong as usual but I would go for:

Vettel.
Kimi.
Ricciardo.

No way Hamilton can pull that one off...

He could take it steady through the parabolica (and lesmos) as the tow was there, save the HP/fuel for the business part of the GP, overtaking/winning.

Singapore a little different in terms of strategy...

Let the Ferrari burn its tyres/fuel out.

If it doesn't rain, I think what could decide the race, or at the very least the grid, will be what those back at the Merc factory have been able to come up with.

It is probably going to be a more open race than the predictors predict.

Why - I doubt it will be more than 10 words! laugh

But I'm looking forward to the race - mainly because although it may not be the most exciting one of the season, it's usually pretty eventful! And I think running it in the dark adds a certain something to general atmosphere.
