I can understand him being annoyed to be called over at an inconvenient time but all the clapping and harassing of the officials is not a good look.
I don't know if they got a chance to weigh the thing at all but if they didn't then he should have been done for failing to allow the car to get weighed, which is presumably more than a fine.

I think there is an old saying that Max should ponder on: "The cemetery is full of people who had the right of way"

Max now saying Ocon goaded him by smiling https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/140008/verstappe...

"I just wanted to look for him and ask 'what was going on, how could something like this happen?'"

"But he immediately answered 'I was faster than you' and said it with such a smile on his face."

Oh dear, Max managing to make himself look an even bigger plonker.

Elsewhere from Maxgate, is Pierre Gasly displaying a bit of a petulant side? He seems quite demanding on radio and ignored team orders during the race, I believe?

And there’s the thought process. Max thinks he can do no wrong.

Look at the replay you silly child and see that you turned right across the front of another car.

He has gone down in my estimation having seen that race.

I can understand his frustration at the cone being in front of the weighbridge when he was pulled across but to be honest it also looks like Vettel himself contributed to the process taking longer than it needed to; between being waved-off as clear to go and actually driving away was around 10 seconds which is surely down to him rather than the officials?

My understanding is that the cone should always be there - they are to stop, turn the engine off, get pushed onto the scales, weighed, pushed off the scales, turn engine on and go.

He shouldn't have driven on or driven off

It’s standard procedure for the cone to be there, as adhered to by every driver in history except VET.

Pull up behind cone. Brakes on. Engine off. Cone gets moved.

Brakes off and be pushed into the scales.

Brakes on. Be weighed. Brakes off. Get pushed off, engine on and go.

It’s hardly fking rocket science is it? Each driver goes through this procedure multiple times per year at random.

Ever been on the Euro Tunnel? It would be like jumping the cue, barging the officials out the way, crashing through the passport control barrier and driving yourself onto the carriage all because you set off late and were about to miss your crossing.

Nice bits of in-car on YT:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=byStQVA-bFU

Although all of it is interesting, of particular interest is one driver who tells the pits that 'there's a Force India behind, pushing me.'

Guess who?

Good piece by Jolyon Palmer in bbc news site with his view of the situation. Well written and the correct view of the incident in my opinion.

Seemingly from most professionals the view is Ocon was wrong.

I don't think many people are denying that Ocon was in the wrong in terms of the collision. That doesn't contradict the sentiment that Verstappen should probably have been more careful though and certainly doesn't excuse his behaviour afterwards.

Sure. But when you review the footage, and get to this point (or a couple of frames earlier):

Max knows Ocon is hanging out on the right of him, and he just turns to hit the apex.

Maybe Ocon shouldn't have been there...and it seems that people with much more driving experience think that. However, once Ocon is there, you have to adjust. Turning to hit the apex just wasn't necessary but instead of losing a tenth, he lost a win.
