It's the kind of thing I think the commentators should let us know. smile

I know this is a longshot but, in case it does happen, can somebody explain how many anthems should be played when the Thai driver born in Britain wins a race in the Italian car with the Japanese engine sponsored by an Austrian company?
Well given the way the Italian Anthem goes on about Austria I am not sure the 2 will play well.

Quite clearly the same anthem as if he had won a race for Sauber. He is Monégasque so it's fair to assume the Hymne Monégasque which is the national anthem of Monaco. wobble

p.s. not being funny I knew he was Monégasque but if you Googled Charles Leclerc it's all there.

yes and I take great pleasure in telling people that "Actually, Mercedes F1 are based in Brackley, the engine comes from Brixworth, the Germans pretty much just supply the money and put their badge on it"
Exactly.

Don't RBR play the British national anthem when they win ?
Now we see how much of a real fan you are eh... you have too much time on your hands to worry about Merc and which anthem should be played.
I still think you're on a wind up, having a little chuckle to yourself.
Anyway, as has been mentioned, every time Lewis (he's one of our own y'know) wins we hear our national anthem. Do you rise from your armchair in those moments, pride bursting out of you and shed a tear for Queen, Country and Lewis bringing it home again? wink
I always shed a tear for our Queen. Made of sterling stuff handling Phillip all these years
You do surprise me... Sparta, an Ancient Greek City and Phil the Greek. You two seemed perfectly aligned, spouting crap and ignorance that doesn’t stray to close to the brain. Kindred spirits, a couple of mumbling old farts at least wink
I am surprised that you're only half correct, but for PH that was pretty good wink

The answer to that is only a few posts above.

I suspect you won't like it.

Correct. Technically Mayfair is a village, albeit very international.
I was reading another topic and just realised that you posted on it that your daily commute include a main road part of the TT race, prety sure Mayfair is not part of the TT race. Am I wrong?

Somebody will correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Red Bull a Thai invention originally? They sell it in little glass medicine bottles. Whoever brought it to the West bulked it up to it’s current can size and carbonated it…

Red Bull is still majority owned by a Thai. The family are amongst the richest in Thailand, there son "Boss" has a warrent out for his arrest and will face trial, his Ferrari ran into and killed a Thai policeman in a hit and run in Thailand. Unlikely he will ever face trial as it seems money buys anythging in Thailand.

In which case RBR and Merc should both be playing the British national anthem, although I suspect RBR won't be anywhere near the top step in 2019 with that Honda biggrin

Someone who is a communist or an antifa member you mean? I don't know if there is anyone in either of those categories who'd want to be associated with such an elitist sport.
