Leclerc, Vettel & Ferrari 2019
Discussion
Ferrari are on it, CLC is going to win races this year. It also looks like Vettel is going be the one making mistakes, he's added spinning off from hitting ghost cars now . Mick Schumacher will be in an Alfa whenever Kimi gets bored or if the bosses think Giovanazzi isn't making the grade.
He's the new generation, always faster than the last. But more than that, he's special. He arrived in F1 surrounded by death both in the sport and at home, yet he went on. If he can perform as basically a kid under such extremes then it's not a big leap to imagine he can also perform well in a difficult season and not be phased by it. He's going to be a consistent force to beat for sure.
Today he lost, but he also probably broke vettel. And next time, under similar circumstances, he will win. He's a racer, no doubt about it

Just a connected video. Leclerc and Verstappen had a coming together in karting 2012, post race brief interviews and see how they both deal with it - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L42H4vkbHYc - host is Italian but the interviews are in English.

I think people are getting carried away with the LeClerc hype.
Let's see how well he copes under the pressure in a championship situation or going wheel to wheel with an idiot like Max Verstappen (it's almost a guaranteed accident with him if you go wheel to wheel with him it seems) or giving technical feedback to the engineers so they can find the optimum set up as quickly as possible. Right now he is probably using Vettel's settings and input and riding the wave.
An on-a-roll Vettel is a mighty beast. Granted we haven't seen it for a while but it's still there somewhere.

Did you not see how he handled the last race? An almost certain win, which was on merit, not a "free pass". Then lost in the last few laps. If you are telling me he is not a cool cucumber with maturity ?!?!?!?Jasandjules said:

Nice find. Don't suppose there's any footage of the incident?Angpozzuto said:

The final 2 races are on here but I can't see any incident at the end that continues over the line, so it might have not been in the finals, Round II Euro series Saturday (Sabato), - https://www.youtube.com/user/TKartMagazine/search?... they were both DQd so maybe that meant from the finals not just the result.Schermerhorn said:

by "probably" do you mean "this is entirely made up"Let's see how well he copes under the pressure in a championship situation or going wheel to wheel with an idiot like Max Verstappen (it's almost a guaranteed accident with him if you go wheel to wheel with him it seems) or giving technical feedback to the engineers so they can find the optimum set up as quickly as possible. Vettel can drive quick but that's all he has, the stars aligned for him to win his champs enjoying a significant weight advantage over most of the field in the quickest car with a journeyman for a team mate who almost/would have beat him but for falling off his bicycle, and then as now every time someone's tried him in wheel to wheel combat it invariably ends with him pointing the wrong way. Once every year or two he pulls off a good move and the rapture of "is this the vettel who can't race eh?" kind of says it all.
He got shown up by Danny and he's about to get shown up again.
At least with max, he isn't actually trying to not crash!

CLC could win the F1 championship this season.
How many F1 drivers have won the F1 world championship in their 2nd season apart from Lewis Hamilton and Jacques Villeneuve?
I don’t think he will but I would love him to do so just so Red Bull can no longer hope to make Max the youngest word champion. How many F1 drivers have won the F1 world championship in their 2nd season apart from Lewis Hamilton and Jacques Villeneuve?
