Again they've decided not to go down the popular undercut sidepods route and have stuck with the 'limpet' style thing... and look how tight the engine covers are around the engine and how severely they taper off around the gearbox. How are they fitting cooling in there. I wonder if we're going to be hearing the chorus of angle grinders opening up cooling slots next week as we did when the V6 hybrid era started. I recall hearing a saying,
'If it looks well, it'll go well'
As a Ferrari fan, I have to say i'm beginning to worry as that looks brilliant. Not just the livery, but that car as a whole.
I agree. If it looks quick, it usually is quick. Lovely looking thing for a modern F1 car.'If it looks well, it'll go well'

Andrea Moda who purchased the Onyx F1 team with what is now widely regarded as 'Mafia Money'.
For example, Rothmans paid around £6m for title sponsor of Williams in the 90s. That wouldn't get you a wing end plate on a mid-field team today.
Sorry to be 'that bloke' but Andrea Moda bought the remains of Coloni not Onyx. But you are certainly right about the source of the funding being 'dodgy' to say the very least. For example, Rothmans paid around £6m for title sponsor of Williams in the 90s. That wouldn't get you a wing end plate on a mid-field team today.
I'm also not at all sure about the £6 million figure for the Rothmans sponsorship deal. As they were paying Sennas wages & contrary to his pronouncements that he would drive the car for free, that would have been probably been enough to pay his bills for half a season. Ron was going to pay him $1 million a race to stay at McLaren, so although Senna probably wouldn't have been getting quite that much from Frank, it would have pretty close. Unless of course, Bernie was chipping in.....
I was also told that Martini was paying somewhere in the region of $12 million a season for being Williams title sponsor and they were only paying Massas wages out of that, his team mate was having to secure his own funding. When he left, it apparently became even less.

interesting to see the ferrari now...
the merc sidepods are longer with a defined undercut profile
rbr are incredibly tight at the back but flow down to the floor
definite different ethos in play.
the RBR colourscheme remind me of an anime version of an old toro rosso
Looks like the engine area is already "on the floor" before the start of the rear wheel, with just bodywork for the exhaust. Extremely tight packaging there. Signs the Honda will be blowing up engines loads again this year with too aggressive packaging?the merc sidepods are longer with a defined undercut profile

So racing point now have a betting site (sportpesa?) as a title sponsor.
Liberty have already done a deal with a gambling site so It looks like the cancer of in match betting and accas is coming to F1. Ray Winston will be on the grid as a hologram in no time.
Third title sponsor I’ve never heard of!!!!Liberty have already done a deal with a gambling site so It looks like the cancer of in match betting and accas is coming to F1. Ray Winston will be on the grid as a hologram in no time.
Huh. It appears Force In......umm Racing Point have stolen Williams graphic designer. Slap an unknown sponsor to the side of the air box, in an unrelated colour to the rest of their livery and call it a title sponsor
Edit: to be fair the real car looks much better than the render.
