Cant see why you would give away that much space and therefore downforce. unless this is where the "innovative design not seen on an F1 car before" is going to be and they don't want spy shots of it?
Also car looks suspiciously like last years Ferrari.
It's an open secret that number of Ferrari engineers are now at Sauber. Also car looks suspiciously like last years Ferrari.

Yep you obviously have to suspect that's not the finished article. Conventional outwash endplates but with honking great gap right in front of the tyre where things are supposed to get interesting. 37chevy said:

The cars look enormous don't they?
They are enormous. The Merc last year was 2m wide and 5.7m(!) long. But it's F1.
It's never gonna go back to the shapes I wanna see (early 90's please) so pointless wasting time complaining about the state of the cars and just enjoy the racing. Worked with getting over the HALO last year for me.

Early 60s for me. But yeah, complaining about the aestetics does seem to be rather missing the point. If they can get reasonably closely matched cars from a few teams which can race close together I couldn't care less what they look like.

Not @StevieBee (obvs), but eyetime have been throwing themselves at MotoGP for a couple of years - Googled them once, saw the b*llocks rumours of a front for a Ponzi-like scheme, never thought of them again.
Got to admire their tenacity.
edit: This was the reddit thread I found last year: https://www.reddit.com/r/formula1/comments/8v8rpr/...
First time anyone's put an @ in front of my name! I've clearly arrived...or not Got to admire their tenacity.

In answer....haven't a clue. But is odd that they appear not to have a website!

I wonder if this is something they thing they have found a loophole on, I.E there is more detail to come there but they dont want anyone cottoning on until testing gets underway?
But why not then just slap a generic 4 element full wing on? This way they are saying "weve found something - and its exactly at this point - but we dont want to say what it is". I'm not disagreeing with you - theres more to that wing - but doing this only creates more intrigue?kambites said:
