Yep, not hacking.
Couple of questions spring to mind:
1) How accurate is the model? Clearly the app has the full 3D model of the car, I wonder if they deliberately changed a few areas to hide detail from other teams? (I'm not suggesting other teams want to 'steal Williams secrets', but it's generally normal in F1 terms to not give your competitors a 3D model of your new car)
2) Why was the app pulled? Some images had already been swiped from it and leaked - but so what? People could still have played around with it as novelty, it could still have been officially activated ahead as part of the original launch plan.
I wonder if the fact the that assets in the app were entirely unprotected led to 11th hour fears there could also be data protection issues?
I have seen it reported elsewhere that some of the files were believed to be straight lifts from CAD. I can't verify this myself.Couple of questions spring to mind:

Oh. That’s a major fkup if true, and explains why they cancelled their plans. In fact, thinking about it, it’s about the only good reason to have cancelled the event. skwdenyer said:

It would certainly make sense of why they pulled the app though!

and even contained individual parts such as brake ducts:
or perhaps a rear wing assembly:
How close these are to the real thing is of course unclear, but it seems a lot of trouble to go to to create a separate, non-accurate, version of the vehicle.

Where can one download these CAD files from? Has anyone shared them online, or just screenshots?

They don't do cock ups by halves at Williams do they!?
I suppose it's possible they did alter the models to protect their IP but if that was the case it still makes no sense that they'd pull the app.
Does just look like a massive oversight. I really don't understand how a team of smart people collectively managed to overlook the fact that any app that can render a 3D model of the car will one way or another make the full 3D model extractable. The fact they used full models of each part of the car and stored the files locally just made the process of acquiring them laughably simple.
Its a few years since I used to do it, but I used to a proficient Solidworks professional and worked as a design engineer for a Vehicle Manufacturer. I cannot beleive they have released this data, ints a colossal leak (whether its the current car or not). It appears to be a fully details surface model, with all the componentry - one of the Design Engineers would have had to put this together for the Press department, you would assume they would have to obtain permission!
It does look to show at least some of the 2021 car too, as it has the revised floor I think (outer edge of floor much further inboard than the outer extremity of rear tyre and tight sculpting under the gearbox)
