No 2 for a season while Lewis smashes his 8th WDC and breaks through 100 wins.
Not a chance. Neither driver would go for that arrangement. They might go for equal status for a season, just to challenge themselves, but the team would never allow it. Toto would explode before the end of the season.

Vettel will be in a Bull next season, Max will move on...
If Vettel leaves Ferrari at the end of the season then it'll be to retire.
Lunch with Marko today, might even happen before the summer is over.
I agree that he might rejoin the team, but one lunch with them means nothing. Seb has always maintained is friendship with Marko ever since joining Ferrari. He often has lunch in the Red Bull motorhome on race weekends.
Seb is often in the Red Bull hospitality, I’d say 1/3 weekends, never with marko...

I wonder if RB ever regretted getting rid of JEV. He was far too good to let go into the wilderness.
Who the fk is JEV? Can we stop this "oh look at me I watch F1/FE/insert name on the telly" bullst and communicate like normal people not some corporate wkers please?
Communicate like normal people. So I should type well known names in full and let the swear filter deal with my swearing. OK, got ya. Will try harder in future for you BFO.

Looks like Red Bull's plan for Toro Rosso next year may well have gone to st slightly. Oh well what a shame, shouldn't have been allowed to race again anyway.

I didn't know who 'JEV' was referring to either. Wasn't that interested to ask.

Even Brundle used to call him JEV in the commentary.

Oh my god, did he really? Now that makes it ok then.

PS didn't know we have so many corporate zombies on here. They love their acronyms. The more the better.

I think Verstappen is very gifted. But Danny Ric was well ahead of him until he decided to go to Renault not forgetting it wasn't even his Rookie season. Lewis on the other hand beat the previous season's WDC in the same car twice.. Including his Rookie year.

Alonso and Button? Alonso and Hamilton finished on the same points. It was countback. But Hamilton was mighty impressive in 2007. But there was a lot going on behind the scenes as well.

Button was at his first season at McLaren in 2010. But over the three years together they were pretty close. Surprisingly so to many fans.

We have not seen Verstappen in a Championship winning car yet. Hamilton has had many years even in his first year in a car which should have won the Championship.

Verstappen or Ricciardo in a Mercedes would give Hamilton a much harder time than Bottas. BUT having a better guy in the second car could make Hamilton even better.

Shame Mercedes will never let it happen.

Comparing Hamilton and Verstappen's rookie season is not comparing like with like. I think Hamilton had done 5 full seasons of car racing before F1 whereas Verstappen only had one. Experience counts for a lot - I think, in the last year, Verstappen is showing that.

Not just Mercedes... No top team would let it happen. We all saw what happened in the Merc and RedBull teams with teams mates scrapping for the WDC... things got feisty. Great for us. Bad for the team. I don’t see any front running team signing Lewis and Max or top line drivers of the moment. What we need is more drivers in cars capable of winning. On merit, not by luck or inheriting the win.

True but Red Bull last year was a long way from his Rookie season (2015) he has been in a Red Bull since early 2016..

Yes that was my point - last year was Max's 5th full year in cars. Hamilton's fifth year was his GP2 year. In the second half of the year Max pretty much wiped the floor with Ricciardo - after Monaco, if they both finished, Max was ahead. But we saw in Brazil, when he was drawn into Ocon's antics, that he's still got some maturing to do.

Well looks like Ticktum has been booted out the red bull driver program...
