I’m cheating a little here as i never met him, i did however manager to get a private tour of the Williams factory a few months after his death. After hearing how the security guard talked about him i went from being a Mansell fan to a Senna fan. Just the sheet admiration this chap had of how Senna conducted himself with others was a thing to behold.
Link added for my post a few years back about the tour if anyones interested

I "met" Senna once at an airport. I was only 3 so couldn't quite ask him about his gear shift aggression strategy, but from what my old man told me, we were sat waiting to board a plane, there was a bit of a furore nearby and it was Senna walking through the terminal. My dad gave me his (clean) hanky and mum's lipstick and sent me toddling off to get an autograph. Senna found a proper pen to sign the hanky with, and I wandered back to my parents very confused, but with signed hanky in hand. I still have it somewhere in a drawer.
Not quite as interesting as some of the other experiences on here, but an anecdote nonetheless.

Hope you have it in a safe place.
Thanks to everyone for all the memories and tales etc so far!
The photos are brilliant too, including the photos of June testing - they bring back so many memories.
I also find the small details really interesting, such as Senna actually wearing a Tag Heuer watch whilst driving, not just putting it on when about to go on the podium as happens now.
Keep those tales and photos coming please, it is so nice to see and read new things.

Didn't myself but I did have the privilege of knowing and marshalling alongside Don Hall who always like telling the tale of his encounter with Senna: -

There are a few of them from around that time. When I first watched them I was almost back there for a few minutes. I’ll never forget it - a real privilege.
