If I want to watch live it's either RTL or a dodgy Sky stream. Genuinely think I prefer watching RTL, not understanding a word they're saying the Sky coverage is that bad!
From the end of this month I'll be away for a lot of the races though so it'll be C4 highlights on a Sunday night.

I usually don't after spending 25 years always watching it and trying not to find out who won.
Now if I find out the winner and knew who was on pole I rarely watch, and really am very aware I am not missing anything at all really.
Bout time some other people did, then things might change
I get the you are not happy with what F1 is today, though you continue to watch every race, know exactly what happened, then post what a waste of it was and it's not what F1 was or should be but....Now if I find out the winner and knew who was on pole I rarely watch, and really am very aware I am not missing anything at all really.

Wanting everyone else to share you view, WTF... We all have minds of our own and like what we like. Don't you get tired of posting the same old stuff every time... I for one am not going to thing, yeah chunder is right, I'm going to turn off because you say so anymore than I expect others to be into it because I am.

RTL + 5Live commentary for live race coverage, or I'll watch the delayed re-run on Italian channel TV8. From the end of this month I'll be away for a lot of the races though so it'll be C4 highlights on a Sunday night.
Quali - Channel 4.

Must say I am getting fed up of trying to watch a free live stream and missing most of the race.
£10 a month for Sky F1 just now but what I hate is paying for this during the offseason.
I view it as 20 races for £120. Or if we assume 2 hours of viewing material per race, about £3 an hour. Which seems ok to me.£10 a month for Sky F1 just now but what I hate is paying for this during the offseason.
Just like to point out that if you really enjoy F1, I feel for you. I catch bits and bobs of most races and I still for some reason often decide to give it a go, but as each year goes on I feel more of my interest waning. Is there anything wrong with wanting it to be better and being rather negative about people who do think it's amazing? Is it really that much of a problem? I don't think so now is it.
I don't really care what you think or anyone else, I will continue to add points, as do the people who never say anything bad and the lovers who buy hundreds of pounds of merch and pay thousands to line the pockets of millionaires every few weeks. Fair play to you, to be that cavalier about your dosh.
Sorry, but it's a free world.
And to be honest if you enjoy modern F1 more than any other motorsport, I think you might need to try some other things!! but hey, each to their own

Like I said I make up my own mind about what I find interesting and want to watch... of course your entitled to your opinion about but telling people the need to try some other things... how do you know they don't. I watch WRC and yesterday, MotoGP I don't really care what you think or anyone else, I will continue to add points, as do the people who never say anything bad and the lovers who buy hundreds of pounds of merch and pay thousands to line the pockets of millionaires every few weeks. You'll also need Sky Entertainment: £22pm, 18-month min term, £27pm thereafter.Think most people would have this package anyway.
£10 is pretty good. 24-month contract and the annoying 31-day cancellation terms.
So it's a reminder on the phone.

If I'm available I opt for live timing and 5live.
My problem is that I don't like shouty commentators. Sky's coverage is ruined for me.
I hope that the Sky stranglehold will end and it will become available with other commentating teams.

I agree. This is why I am still holding off giving Sky any extra. If I'm available I opt for live timing and 5live.

I voted 'Other' because it's a bit of a mixture really.
Have NOW TV at the mo, so watched the first 3 races live. Just watched C4 highlights for Azerbaijan & Spain.
Will probably watch the C4 highlights for the rest of the season, unless there's a race I particularly want to watch and have the time to, in which case I'll get a Sports Day Pass.
I am usually glued to the TV, unless it's a bit of an *uneventful race, in which case I might have a look at my phone or get the laptop out.
I'm not that bothered about watching the pre/post race stuff anymore as I've started watching the F1 YouTube vids. They do pretty cool pre/post race stuff which I can watch at my leisure.
*I don't say boring, because people that drone on about F1 being boring are a bit tedious.

Now we’re into the euro races, they handily start at 5:10 local time. I can leave work and be in the pub for 5, and will have a few pints and some grub whilst watching it.
This is the correct answer to the original question posed by this thread. By far the best way to pay for and watch it MitchT said:
Highlights on C4. Actually starting to quite like having highlights in the evening - means my whole Sunday is free.
Sums it up for me, although I do enjoy the highlights more if I don't know who's already won, and avoiding hearing about it on any platform until 7-8pm (social media/TV/Radio) takes some doing.Gary29 said:

Have a scroll through Facebook? No.
Catch up with the news? Again, too risky.
You can do the above without finding out the result if you're really careful, but it's a PITA.
A lot of the time they announce it in the first few secs like... Lewis Hamilton takes victory at the... FFS
