You can do the above without finding out the result if you're really careful, but it's a PITA.

A lot of the time they announce it in the first few secs like... Lewis Hamilton takes victory at the... FFS rolleyes
This is true, the downside of a connected world..

On the flip side, it also means we can now watch it live just about anywhere. I watched (listened) to Baku on my phone via nowTV whilst driving from Barcelona to Seville! The deal was that my wife could watch the phone screen with me just listening, but if anything interesting happen id pull over to watch replays, and maybe she would take over the driving. Of course we completed the trip without pulling over once, nothing interesting happened at all!
