But I could st in a box and get lt listed on ebay and amazon with no barriers to entry at-all. My same turd in a box wouldn't pass the sniff test (commercially and physically) with any high street retailer.
Hmm. You’ve given me an idea for a new revenue stream. I just need to Edited by SpudLink on Friday 2nd August 19:22

but I'd call Amazon EU a "distribution lines via major retailers". I'd say Amazon EU has more throughput then it would get in any one supermarket, especially when you think about the continent. Actual customer reach is much larger than say if they put it in waitrose, (it is up market/premium only you know etc...).

My same turd in a box wouldn't pass the sniff test (commercially and physically) with any high street retailer. Building brand awareness ahead of actual sales isn’t a non-starter as a business plan. Most energy drinks are non-premium fillers; if you want stores to stock (and keep stocking) your product at premium price points, you have to demonstrate demand, awareness and sales support (marketing, advertising, etc).
What’s wrong with this picture is how they’ve gone about executing the strategy...

Coca Cola have just started their own crap now I saw it in Sainsbury earlier. £1.29 a can! fking unbelievable
Anyway with all the cheap st for 50p, and the established premium brands at fk-knows-how-much, I don’t think it matters what you say - there’s no real chance of success for another one.

I recall thinking the same when Monster arrived. They seem to have done ok...Anyway with all the cheap st for 50p, and the established premium brands at fk-knows-how-much, I don’t think it matters what you say - there’s no real chance of success for another one.

I don't understand why they've done this to be honest, they own the Relentless energy drink company Anyway with all the cheap st for 50p, and the established premium brands at fk-knows-how-much, I don’t think it matters what you say - there’s no real chance of success for another one.
I know we all like different things but I still can’t really understand why people drink this rubbish. I mean it so obviously costs 2p to produce and sells at mega profit. But why do people drink it I will never understand, who needs more energy?? I drink a cup of tea to quench my thirst and no doubt get a caffeine hit I’m unaware of, but to drink a can of something designed to pep you up is a bit weird I think.

Relentless is a monster brand and has been since coke sold it 2015 in return for all of Monster's non energy drink brands. Coke did get a 16% ownership stake in Monster as part of arrangement and the rights to be the anchor bottler for Monster... DanielSan said:

They are 250ml cans so directly compete with RB. The bigger energy cans are slightly aimed at a different portion of the market. They have added vit b and being no calories i guess aiming for more feminine market, as energy drinks have a more macho image. The problem is they could just end up diluting sales as people have strong associations with the Coke brand.

Early starts/night shifts/weekends work. Lack of sleep, long hours - sometimes you need all the helping hand there exists. Especially when the instant coffee (from canteen) tastes fking horrible.Mainly for those with an active hands on physical roles etc.

Have you tried coke (as in cocaine)? No need for artificial taste improvers there.
Mix it with Rich Energy and you could find yourself on social media in the early hours telling everyone that your product is better than Red Bull and have 90 million unfilled cans of the stuff. Gassing Station | Formula 1 | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
