I think both Ferrari and Mercedes are really pushing as they're so closely matched here. Mistakes get made, I get the feeling more may come yet..

As for Ferrari lock out, maybe. Although normally Mercedes do come back with the bigger improvement in pace for quali.
You can never count out Mercedes. We have said so many times that Ferrari will get pole and Mercedes turn the switch.

Knowing Hamilton he will get pole after all this biggrin

Only just catching up on this, so there is a Red Bull at the back too?
Albon has Gasly's penalties to take. Gasly will be pleased.
.
Technically Albion is taking the car’s penalties, not Gasly’s.

Nearly got it back... ouchie!
Strange crash. Left rear puncture?
Really? It seemed pretty much like he just ran too high on the kerb. As Herbert said, when you do that there, the result is pretty much inevitable.
Rare driver error, too much curb..

Front of pit shriller out so they’re rebuilding it, whether they make it or not is another thing.

Apologies to all HAMfosi, I always jinx him when I go to watch and it’s happened again, right in front of us rolleyes
I do hope that you were not cheering like the rest of the VERtosi?

But can Ferrari grab defeat from the jaws of victory by using an old engine? I think BOT for a win - the curtain has been lifted so he can free-up his mind again.

Race pace will be the big factor. Spa doesn't have the same slow sections which have been an issue to the Ferrari car.

But I just can't imagine the Mercedes or Red Bull not being better in race trim.

Ferrari were well behind Mercedes on long run pace yesterday.

The whole crowd is cheering every time they show it! We’re next to be VER tribune at double gauche but I’d say he crowd is still 70% orange

Gosh.

Sir Frank has always been thin to the point of being skeletal. I'd not have recognised him from that photo.

They took it straight back to the pitlane before they restarted the session.
Only two hours to get it fixed...Do we think they may just put a new engine into the pool and just start from the back giving them enough time to get things rebuilt properly?
My thoughts exactly but looks like Mercedes will get it fixed on time. Just hope they do all the nuts and bolts up properly!!

Ferrari are a second off Red Bull and Merc race pace, if they get in front they have to get away.. before the others trigger an undercut.

Watching on slight time delay here... and Kubica's engine just went pop.

Where the hell were the marshals? The engine was on fire and stayed there merrily burning away for ages. eek

Well, this red flag is buying Mercedes more time to get Lewis's car back in one piece... wink
