Honestly, if Netflix took over F1 coverage I’d be watching the races every week, and qualifying, practice etc. It’d be such a good idea to run the show alongside the racing IMO and would have me hooked.
There's a huge difference between a live show of a live sporting event and a carefully crafted series where there's the time to edit and apply different broadcasting standards (from a technical perspective). If Netflix took over the coverage it would be exactly what we get on Sky (and C4) but on Netflix.

Amazon hit the ground running with their tennis coverage. They also did very well with their Premier League coverage (apart from the 1-minute delay).

I do like this programme, the editing of certain races makes them look more exciting than they were.

Kimi was gold at the end

This would never have been made under Bernie, would love to know how much the first payment to Haas from Odd Bloke (Rich Energy) was.

Didn't they say it was £/$30M up front?

They said it was a £30m investment on his part.. and that a first payment had been made. Wasn't very clear but I'd guess £30m was the total amount, via staged payments.

To be a fly on the wall in the meeting(s) between the FIA and team principals though...

Hopefully the Netflix boys stayed up all night and got some good footage...

Just got to wait until Feb 2021 to binge watch it

Guenther Steiner just swore at the virus until it went away, then K-Mag slammed the door on it.

Horner was impressed at how quickly the virus had made an impact and was a threat to the more experienced, older drivers.

Williams, who couldn't catch a cold, all proved immune to the virus and were the only team to turn up for any race all year. They finished last and second last.

Pictures of a McLaren sponsored by Corona went viral.

Merc shocked all the teams by introducing a bold new innovation that allows the driver to adjust the suspension geometry by sneezing.

The FIA was both surprised and happy to learn that everyone in the pitlane was normally aspirated.

Finally watched the williams episode last night, I’d only echo the thoughts that Claire Williams is at best naive and out of her depth, at worst...

We’ve seen plenty examples of her ineptitude over the last few seasons, her attitude to PL in the garage at barcelona was quite telling but you could give many more examples of how she’s destroying the team. She’s got a sloppy attitude and it breads sloppy behaviour in the team.

The woman can’t even get a decent haircut for goodness sake.
There's something about her, I can't put my finger on it. Maybe it's those exaggerated Hyacinth Bucket like facial expressions?

Objectively, I'm not sure I'd want to work for him and certainly not argue with him! I'd work for Wolff, Binotto and perhaps Cyril Abiteboul (based solely on the D2S impressions made), but definitely not Horner or dear Guenther.
So you'd basically work somewhere where there's safe spaces created by corporate culture of silos. As much as I dislike Horner and the pirate they have a no bullst approach to their job, which is refreshing in this politically correct BS world that we live in.

It's entertaining fluff , but the hyperactive editing and silly sound effects grate, but not as much as the portentous insights of the absolutely bleedin' obvious from Will Buxton.
He is absolutely the worst element of the show. We binged the 6 episodes and it became a running joke whenever he came on to deliver yet more fascinating insights.
But isn't Willy boy like that 100% of the time when he's on camera? I watch him on the F1 channel during seasons and his segments are always like this cringey mixture of a wannabe comedian mixed with urban down wit da kidz grime artist.

I hope we race in Baku this year as am waiting for him to once again bring up (and choke up whilst he's saying it) Charles father's death during one of his features.

Him and DR are same level of butt clenching cringe.

I'm not sure what it is, but there's something about Toto, and if you'll pardon the pun, he gave me the impression of being a bit of a Wolff in sheep's clothing (getmecoat).
100% this was just his PR persona. Which is why I laughed when he told Steiner to be a bit more intelligent in front of cameras.
